e-cloth Review

Created in 1995, e-cloth is Europe’s number one chemical free cleaning company. Used with only a cloth and water this company has completely taken the toxins and chemicals out of cleaning. Their microfiber cleaning technology provide superior cleaning power on almost anything in the home.

E-cloth stands out from other cleaning brands because of the tiny size of their cloth fibers. These fibers strands are smaller than the diameter of a human hair which allows their to be millions of fibers in each cloth. When being produced, the polyester fibers are split like a pie forming eight “slices” and the polyamide fibers are cut to create an axil with eight spokes. The two fibers are then combined to form one joint piece – the polyester fibers fitting into the polyamide fibers. You can see this in the photo. This brilliant technology allows for dirt, bacteria, dust, grease, etc. to be picked up and locked in the fibers. Not until you wash or rinse the cloth does all the dirtiness escape.

With all that being said: e-cloth works! Their products are scientifically tested and proven to remove bacteria. This is great for any home, but especially a home where kids live. Luxury Hooded Bath Towels

The name says it all with these hooded bath towels-luxury is no lie. These towels are incredibly soft and oh so fuzzy. With two sizes to choose from your baby can enjoy these towels from birth to five years (depending on size of course). E-cloth has three design options to choose from. The picture on the right shows two of the options-the other is a pink hood with white stars; perfect for a little girl!

The luxury towel dried my son so well. Compared to the average cotton bath towels these are awesome. After bath time I felt like I could actually wipe off the water from his body. Sometimes with the cotton towels I feel like I have to dab off the water because wiping just moves the water around; that’s not how I want my towels to work. We have to move fast to keep our son happy after a bath so the absorbency of these towels are a lifesaver. The polyester and polyamide (nylon) materials are the perfect combination to create the soft cozy feeling we all want after a bath. Too bad they only come in kid sizes! 😉

Home Starter Kit

Three cloths will get you a long way while cleaning around the house. The home starter kit is the perfect cleaning agent for your everyday messes. Their home starter kit comes with a bathroom cloth (blue), general purpose cloth (purple), and a glass and polishing cloth (tan). The bathroom cloth will remove grime, soap scum, water, and most importantly bacteria from surfaces like the shower and counter. With the general purpose cloth you’ll be cleaning every surface possible; picking up dirt, grease, and oil and leaving nothing behind. My favorite cloth – the glass and polishing cloth takes finger prints and smears away from windows, mirrors, and other shiny surfaces. This cloth is so great at picking up light grease that is left from fingers touching things that should shine.

I had quite the experience using the bathroom and glass cloths cleaning up my sons pee off the window his changing table sits in front of. I wiped the window down with the bathroom cloth first to clean it and pick up the majority of the pee – I got the cloth wet with water first. Then I used the glass cloth to take the smears away; the window is perfectly streak free now. I love that cloth!

Hand and Face Cleaning Kit

This 13 piece kit is perfect for parents who are always on the go. The cleaning kit includes one carry pouch, one spray bottle, one laundry bag, and 10 hand and face cleaning towels. The carry pouch is super cute and is perfect to keep in the diaper bag, glove box, or around the house. When you need to clean your child up just pull out a towel, spray with water and wipe their hands or face. It’s super easy and really convenient. The laundry bag is a really awesome idea, but I didn’t (and won’t) use it. I cloth diaper so I already have a wet bag I keep in the diaper bag, this is what I put my dirty, wet towels in. If you don’t cloth diaper though, the laundry bag will be helpful. When you’ve used a cloth and it’s dirty and wet you don’t want to put it back into the pouch – thats what the laundry bag is for. Put all your wet, grimy towels in it and keep it separated from the clean ones.

Although there is another step in using this kit (spraying the towel) I think it’s completely worth my while. I am skeptical of all the wipes on the market right now – are they really safe for my baby? Using this cleaning kit I don’t have to worry about that at all; it’s just water and a towel. I am for sure keeping this kit in my diaper bag from now on; there are endless possibilities for clean up when it comes to kids. You should carry one too!

Nested Bean Zen Review

Touch is a very important aspect of a baby’s life; especially in the very early days. The soft gentle touch of a parent is sometimes the only thing that will get baby to stop crying. Some babies like the loving touch a parent gives a little too much. They won’t sleep unless they feel the pressure of a parents hand on their chest. Baby’s need soothing; that’s where Nested Bean comes in. Their zen sleep sacks and swaddles are the perfect solution to get baby to sleep without the palm of your hand.

Nested Bean was created by a mom who spent many long nights holding her baby in order for him to sleep. Her son struggled to sleep without touch or pressure on his chest. Then she placed a soft beanie baby on the chest of her son and he slept independently. That’s when the Zen products started to form. The chest pressure was tested by researchers and psycho-phisiologists and found that no matter what causes the pressure our skin responds the same way. Even light pressure is used in hospitals for premature babies – the stimulated touch is soothing and eases sleep. Zen sacks and swaddles are safe, medically backed and super cute. Your baby will love to sleep in their Zen; you’ll love it too!

Upon receiving the Zen swaddle and sack I was interested to know what the weighted chest pad was going to be like. I didn’t know how heavy it would be or what it would feel like. To be honest I thought it was going to feel like a bag of sand; not very comfortable to have on baby’s chest. Much to my surprise the weighted pad is very light weight and actually feels soothing just when I hold it. I’m also comforted to know that the Zen products are toxin free so I don’t have any worries when putting my son in them.

Zen Swaddle

The shoulder snaps are a great aspect of the Zen sleep sack. I love that the snaps are adjustable, the sack will fit my baby for much longer. As he grows I can lower the snaps to a different position allowing for a larger fit. Babies grow very quickly so with this snap feature I have one less thing I have to buy a larger size of – yay for saving money! You can even use the sleep sack when baby starts rolling and sleeping on their tummy. Just put the sack on backwards and place them on their belly!

I really like the zipper on the sleep sack too. It is super easy to zip and just glides right along. The sack has a double zipper giving you the option to zip and unzip from the top/side or the bottom. I love this because I can keep my baby cozy if I need to change his diaper. I say top/side because this zipper is different than most sleep sack zippers. This one zips around the side and bottom of the sack, not right down the middle. The weighted pad is on the baby’s chest where the zipper would normally be.

You can see in the picture the zipper line goes down the right side, around the curve, across the bottom, and up the left side just a bit. On the left side where the zipper stops there is a fabric snap to cover the zipper up.

This particular sleep sack is one of Nested Bean’s premier sleep sacks. These are made from 70% bamboo and 30% cotton – seriously so soft. The material is also moisture wicking which is great during the summer. They also offer a classic swaddle and sack which is made of 100% cotton. The classic is great for year round comfort. For the winter months I recommend the winter sleep sack (not offered for swaddles). This sack is also 100% cotton but it is much thicker so baby stays ultra cozy. Each of these materials are quality made and will keep baby warm and well rested.

Their prints are absolutely adorable. With options for boys and girls you are sure to find one that you love. They even have gender neutral prints for those who don’t know what they’re having yet. The print in the photos above is Starry Safari – a cream, gender neutral print with giraffes on it.

Zen Swaddle

The Nested Bean Zen swaddle is an awesome product for a baby. Not only is there a weighted pad on the chest, but there are also weighted pads on either side of the swaddle so baby can feel completely wrapped and held while wearing it. The velcro to wrap and secure baby is on the back side of the swaddle which is different than most. This is great because you are able to get the swaddle tight around their arms – the one place that needs to be snug. You literally wrap baby up like a burrito!

I also really like how they created the swaddle to last even longer with the two-in-one design. Use the smaller pocket when baby is tiny and fresh, then start to use the larger pocket as they grow out of the small one. Such a genius idea! Below is an image showing how to swaddle – in step one you see the smaller pocket with the larger pocket “hanging” in step two you can see the larger pocket around the baby.

Some of my favorite things about Yorba Organics is that they harvest their ingredients in the wild! They are sustainable naturally and don’t require fertilizers or chemicals to regrow once harvested. This Mama’s Experience

I was able to try out their shampoo, conditioner, face wash, clay wash, moisturizer and body lotion. Here are my thoughts and tips based on my experience.

These are products are really, honest organic. They have a slight tan tint to most of them. At first I thought it had a low amount of foundation in the moisturizer because of the coloring. After talking to a company rep I was told that they do not use any additives to alter the natural colors. The color you see is the true color of the natural ingredients. Pretty cool, huh?! After using it for a while now I can say it will not effect the coloring of your face. It soaks in just like a true moisturizer should. The moisturizer goes way farther than I expected. Typically with organic products I feel like I have to use more to get the results I desire. With moisturizers in the past that are organic I take a nickel size to cover my face & decolletage. With Yorba Organics I was shocked my first time using it. I had squirted out way too much. It was rich, creamy and covered my face and neck with such a small quantity. This is a product that is really high in value based on it’s low price of $16.95.

The shampoo and conditioner is made with Marula Oil, “Marula Oil is renowned for its cleansing and refreshing properties. It also provides protection against free radicals and helps to repair the skin. Marula Oil has a pH very close to our skin pH so it is mild and gentle enough to be used on even the most sensitive of skins” – Yorba’s Website

I loved how the shampoo gave a slight lather, soapy feel that is very hard to achieve in an organic product without SLS (sulfates). The conditioner had no lather or soapy feel, so I used more than I probably need. I like to really feel my hair coated with conditioner as if I am giving it a mask treatment with every use. Their conditioner does not achieve this, but I know that the thick feeling is not needed for it to truly moisturize my hair. The ingredients stand for themselves and you don’t need to use a higher volume to achieve the results you desire. I know this now by how my hair looks and feels after using their shampoo and conditioner set for a while now.

The Exfoliating Clay Wash is such a fun product. This body wash is a creamy scrub with a lovely natural clay color. It goes on smoothly and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. This clay wash features Kalahari Melon Oil. “Kalahari Melon Oil has regenerative properties and helps to restructure skin cell walls. With high levels of essential fatty acids, it also leaves the skin supple and hydrated after use. Along with a high fatty acid content, Kalahari Melon is also rich in oils, protein, carbohydrates, minerals and nutrients that all act to reduce skin stress, hydrate and pH balance skin” – Yorba’s Wesbite

Face cleansers can be tricky for me. I use eye makeup and often forget to use eye make remover before washing my face. Past organic face washes that I have tried never come close to taking off my eye makeup. With Yorba Organics I didn’t even consider it to take off my eye makeup, but it did! I mean some days there is some left, but as a whole I am shocked at how well it works. One of the key ingredients in Yorba’s face cleanser is Kigelia. “Kigelia is a clinically proven antibacterial and is known to aid in the natural treatment of very dry skin conditions and Eczema. It is packed with nutrients that aid in the repair of damaged or aging skin. If you have a hard time with double strollers (and I mean come on people, they can be such a pain in the butt) you have to look no further. I have discovered literally the coolest double stroller ever. It has features that will blow your mind. It’s gorgeous to look at and the Supa Dupa is supa cozy. It gives you the ease of smooth travel with the added bonus of support and strength for a full days worth of adventure. They really worked their magic when creating this new amazing piece of equipment.

It works like a folding umbrella stroller but has the structure & support of a full size stroller.

What makes Cosatto special is their formula for design and colors. They strive to make the most fun and colorful strollers you can buy. I know they are certainly the prettiest ones I have ever seen, and as a blogger I have seen a lot! Cosatto believes every newborn needs a brilliant fanfare of joy and color. The Supa Dupa Double comes fully assembled. I honestly expected there would be a few things I would have to piece together, but nope, it’s fully ready to use out of the box. No screwdrivers required. If you want to put on the hood/sun guard, then yes, you would need to snap that in. Plus, the box it comes in can provide hours of entertainment for your toddler as an added bonus.

Features

There are so many features to this stunning stroller. I will highlight the most important here.

Easy to adjust straps. Whether you are putting a 4 month old or 4 year old in the Supa Dupa Double, you are able to adjust the straps and the headrest so that it is cozy and the perfect fit. With headhuggers and chest pads your child with my as cozy as they safe.
3 cup holders. Say what? This stroller features 1 plastic cup holder that can be clipped on the left or right side of the stroller. It is removable so that if you want to switch sides it can be done with ease. As a super cool bonus you get 2 water bottle holders that are insulated to keep you bottles cold. Many oversize water bottles are unable to fit in a standard cup hold. This stroller has you covered mama, so keep hydrated and stay cool (and look cool too) with these bonus water bottle holders.
Full sized shade cover. Every other stroller I know has a standard hood to shade your child from the sun rays. But the Supa Dupa Double has extendable sunshades with a added bonus of UPF50+ protection. These shades almost reach down to the child’s knees. I was shocked at how far they really do extend. Oftentimes with past strollers my kids got angry that the sun was ‘still’ in their eyes. I have no fear with the extendable sunshade on this stroller. If you do not want it to fully extend, you can zip the extra extension closed for a clean look and the standard hood still available. It also easily comes off so that is it ever more slim and has less bulk for this quick trips.
iPad/Table Holder. Honestly, I depend on my kids iPads to get my through the day. I need them to be quiet so that I can shop, cook dinner, fold the laundry, watch the new episode of The Crown…you know the necessary things in life. When I go to the mall we bring them along to keep the kids quiet in the stores so I can get down to business. ‘Window-on-the-World’ hood display pockets are a clear plastic slot in the hood above the child that you can slip an iPad or tablet in. It lays above them so they can recline and take in their movie. You cannot really play a game or use the touch screen once it’s in the holder. This feature is best to be used when they are going to watch a movie and relax. Being positioned directly above their heads I also find it best to slightly or fully recline their seat. If your kids don’t use a tablet then this feature is great for flash cards or fave photos.
Speaker. The Supa Dupa’s multimedia gadget pocket with speaker. This speaker works iPods and similar devices, not with cell phones.
Reclining Seats. Most of the time I try to avoid taking my kids into a public restroom to change their diaper. Now, I can recline their Supa Dupa Double seat and change in them in the seat. This is super helpful for mom’s like me. Its also perfect for when they fall asleep or when they fall asleep in their car seat and you need to transfer them over the the stroller. There are 4 settings ranging from fully upright to practically laying down.
Raincover. I have never used a raincover before. I live in Ohio and we have the normal 4 seasons being a Midwestern state. I love having the option now. For those times when its pouring but you have to get to the grocery store. Stuck at the state fair and it starts to drizzle. If you live in a state with sporadic weather then this is your dream feature.
Cosy Toes. Blankets can be a disaster in the winter. Kids throw them. They fall off their laps and land in the snow or worse, the slush…eww… The Cosy Toes is the best wintertime feature. This muff-like addition can be placed on the seat under the child and their feet and legs can slide into the Cosy Toes. You can unzip the Cosy Toes to make going in and out that much easier for you. My children love how warm and cozy this feature is and they love that they both have their own! They don’t share the same Cosy Toes, but each seat has an individual one. This is such a sanity saver for the sibling quarrels that would have inevitably happened if they had to share. It easy goes on and off so when springtime rolls around you can take it off and save it for the next dip in the weather.
Triple handles. I love the feature of the 3rd handle on the Supa Dupa. This gives you more position options depending on how you are pushing. If you are needing to use only 1 hand, no problem. Need to maneuver through a department store – easy peasy. This puppy can turn so smoothly and without extra effort. The high quality materials used for its construction makes it easy for busy parents who don’t have time to deal with funky wheels that don’t want to go the right direction. This stroller is streamlined with easy and comfort.
Kickstand. All of my past strollers have just leaving against a garage wall when not in use. That or else my husband has installed hooks to the garage wall to get them off the floor and out of the way. With this Cosatto Supa Dupa Double stroller, there is a kickstand by the wheels which allow you to have your stroller stand upright without needing to lean up against anything. This is such a fabulous feature.

I am confident you will not find a stroller like a Cosotto. If you have been searching for a double stroller, you cannot go wrong with the Supa Dupa Douple by Cosatto. My stroller was the Pixelate print. It also comes in the Cuddle Monseter 2 print.

Since my daughter was six months old she has been in her high chair at the dinner table. Slowly we introduced foods one piece at a time and I would place it on her tray. It didn’t take long for her to demand a plate and silverware like everyone else at the table. Being a first time mom and not really putting much thought into toddler dishes, I was unprepared and only had my ceramic dishes to offer. Although they were the perfect size, I was waiting for my plate to hit the floor when she was done eating. Nervous to use cheap plastic dishes full of chemicals that could leach into my child’s food, I was on the hunt for dishes that were safe for my daughter and something that would last and not need to be replaced.

Avanchy’s dishware is perfect for my independent toddler. As soon as I placed the bowl in front of her she tried to pick it up. The suction base proved to be stronger than my 16 month old, a major win in my book.

The Bamboo Baby Training Spoon has a nice silicone tip, which helps food stay on the spoon and is gentle on your child’s sensitive gums and teeth. The handle is ideal for tiny hands trying to navigate feeding themselves. Avanchy also offers Bamboo Baby Training Forks.

The bowl itself might seem large for a childs bowl, but I have found that the size is appropriate. Any smaller and I think my daughter would fling food out while trying to scoop it onto her spoon.

The plate itself is divided into three sections which is great for keeping food separate for picky eaters or entertaining for those that like rearranging their food while they eat.

I love that the suction base is removable, allowing these dishes to grow with your child.

My experience with the wonder bumpers has been great so far. When I received them in the mail I pulled them out right away to take a look them. This takes away the worries of my son chewing on the bumpers.

The bumpers are super easy to put on your child’s crib. It took me about ten minutes to zip each bumper on. The toughest part of putting the bumpers on was that I had to squeeze them around the bars between the mattress. Not until after I was finished did I think about taking the mattress out in order to zip the bumpers on. With all that being said, I recommend taking the mattress out of your baby’s crib before zipping on all the bumpers. Be sure to zip the bumpers down on the crib rails. Doing this ensures that your baby won’t grab at the zipper and try to take the bumpers off.

I also love that the bumpers wrap individually around each crib rail. I was always nervous about putting a bumper in my sons crib because I was worried of him suffocating with his mouth against the bumper. These wonder bumpers take all those worries away. Baby’s sleeping environment is safe, comfortable, and he’s protected.

Children need quality clothing. While kids grown like weeds, they too need comfort and this really counts when it comes to a good night of sleep. My children are not the best sleepers…okay they stink at sleeping. I have learned after years of fighting with them at bedtime is that if they are comfortable, really truley comfortable, they are able to fall asleep much faster. As a parent who cloth diapers, I can say that these pajama’s are super for fluff butts! So many times the pants on the pajamas of my son, who wears cloth diapers, give him the old fashion ‘plumbers crack’ – this is where the pants fall down and show the butt crack region. While I love to see my little fluff butts diapers, we don’t need clothing that won’t fit around his butt and hips properly. The ways the pants are cut and sewn together gives them a fit that stretches yet holds in all the perfect places. This is also one of the reasons why these pajamas make bedtime that much easier. I have never done a boxing workout before so this was a completely new experience for me. Doing this stretched my workout to about one hour, but after you watch the videos and get thorough one workout you can finish the whole system in just 30 minutes. Isn’t that great?!

The DVD has an instructional video that teaches its users all the boxing moves that will be used throughout the workout. This was my favorite aspect of the system. I am glad that they took the time to create this portion because this was all new to me. I wanted to understand and practice the boxing moves before doing the whole workout so I didn’t hurt myself. I recommend that everyone watches this instructional video. It’s important when doing any workout that you understand the exercises and do them correctly to prevent any future injuries.

The 12 rounds system is perfect for people of all boxing levels. Their convenient levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced allow for anyone to use the system. There are three women in the video, each at a different boxing level. If you are more intermediate, watch the woman on the right; if you’re a beginner (like me) then you watch the woman on the left. The system also shows the difference between a right handed and left handed person when boxing.

After doing the workout I felt great. The results are fast but for anyone worried about the possibility of excess skin which is often left behind when you lose weight quickly, there is always the option of tummy tuck surgery to help you enjoy your new figure. You can tell that it works because after this workout my body was completely sore and I really felt like every muscle was used. The Lalabu Story

Okay, so you can clearly tell I love this shirt. I mean it is a genius idea. So how in the world did they come up with this idea you might ask? This husband and wife team took a trip to Africa to visit their aunt and noticed that many of the mothers there all babywear their infants. Babywearing is known to have amazing benefits for baby and their mommy. This led them to question, ” If babywearing is so incredible for both parent and baby, why aren’t more parents in our country doing it?” Then the Lalabu shirt was born. They sought out to create a shirt to make babywearing more simple for all of us Mamas out there. Oh and for all of you men, they didn’t leave you out! Lalabu has a Daddy shirt, too! If your babe is like mine, he just loves snuggling with his daddy! It gives me a nice break to blog, have two free hands, eat a bowl of ice cream, or shower, while daddy can snuggle our baby and still be productive as well.

My Overall Impression

LOVE! Have I mentioned I love this product?! I must admit when I first put it on I felt a bit self-conscious with my mombod. It is a snug fit, so don’t be alarmed. The snug fit is necessary, however, so that your baby is safe in your shirt pouch.

My husband sort of felt the same way about the fit. He said that he would like one size bigger, but again, with a smaller baby a snug fit would definitely be necessary.

Even when I can no longer fit my big boy in the pouch, the nursing function is also fantastic and the shirt looks cute enough to wear solo! Guess what else…you can also ditch the bra in this one! Totally enough support built in–wahoo!

My husband and I both give these shirts two thumbs up!! With Christmas just around the corner, the Lalabu Soothe Shirt would be a super awesome gift for any mommy or daddy-to-be!
