Pocket diapers are my favorite overnight diaper. I love the flexible options I get with a pocket. I can stuff it with microfiber, bamboo…whatever I feel like. I personally have always done one layer of microfiber closest to baby (not touching skin as microfiber should never touch skin!) and then farther away a 2nd layer of hemp or bamboo.

AppleCheeks have a few different kinds of inserts. They offer a basic microterry insert that is super absorbent. This features a stay dry microfleece inside to keep baby with a stay dry feeling. This insert can be placed into the pocket of the diaper, or lay on top of the diaper and directly against the skin, the FLEECE side against the skin. The tag side is the rear/microfiber side and this should never touch your babies skin.

The other type of insert AppleCheeks offers is a rayon from bamboo insert. This is a flat rectangular insert. This is to be folded either in a tri-fold or in half, depending on how you want to use it. I always tri-fold mine and place it into the pocket of the diaper. You are able to lay this in the diaper (not in the pocket) and have it directly touch the babies skin. This insert is so cool. I have never seen another diaper company with a product like this. They are super absorbent and silky smooth. They offer 2 layer or a 3 layer option for this insert. I would recommend both thicknesses. I have even used the 3 layer in a tri-fold overnight without any leaks!!!! I am SO excited for this. Having a diaper double stuffed, like I mentioned above can cause a gap in the leg gusset for my son. His skinny legs can cause a gap with the extreme thickness. Now I can have a tight leg gusset and an overnight absorbent stuffing. Mind blown!

AppleCheeks Diapers: Size 1 fits from 7 – 20lbs, and Size 2 fits from 18 – 40lbs.

The pictures here show my son who is 20lbs and 19 months in a size 2. I need to have it on the tightest setting due to his skinny butt and legs.

Snorg Tees is a super hilarious tee shirt company. Started by Matt and Bryan in their basement, like all super entrepreneurs, faked it until they made it. They keep it real by constantly updating their designs and styles with the hot topics, fads, and jokes of the moment. This way what is probably trending in your Facebook feed and on Twitter can also be on your tee shirt next week.

They also love to listen to their fans. Companies who are responsive to their customers are way more likely to succeed. So if you have a funny idea or saying you think would be great on a tee shirt, go ahead and let them know! If they end up using one of your ideas they will hook you up with $150 and a free tee shirt!

Once you become addicted to buying their tee’s and gifting them to all your friends and relatives this holiday season, you can share your pics with them! First I want to tell you guys how nice it was working with Snorg. Their staff was fun, kind and super fast in response time. Knowing that the staff is on the ball makes you way conformable with a company. It also makes me want to tell my personal friends and family about them as well. Strong rapport is such a big thing when there so many other tee companies out there.

Fit

I typically wear a womens 1XL or size 16-18 in my tops. As all ladies know, this fluctuates day to day and brand to brand.

My tee shown here are men’s XL. They don’t have the fun women’s cut features (shorter sleeves and softer neckline) BUT they are a good fit. I would say a tad loose around the middle (duh, its a mens shirt) but a nice fit other than that.

My husband is wearing a 3X and its a nice size. Sometimes 3X’s are crazy huge and other times they are more like an XL, this is true to its size.

Comfort

These tees are so comfy. You wear a Snorg Tee to be fun and make yourself and the people around you laugh. But you need to be yourself and in a good mood to sport your witty attitude. These shirts are 100% cotton and feel like a dream. I wear a tee to be comfortable. I also need them to be easy to clean. Being a mom I know that my shirt is going to be the material my kids feel when they hug me throughout the day. I can be a fun, silly and cuddly mom in a Snorg Tee.

As my husband put his shirt on he immediately said, “these are so comfy”.  That is all a man cares about in a shirt. That is feels good. Women deal with more for the sake of fashion, but not a guy. These tee’s are 100% man approved.

Haters Gonna Hate

Quality

The prints are either done with a screen printer or a super fancy machine called a Kornit. Both allow Snorg Tees to use a very broad spectrum of colors, which allows the creative juice to be that much juicer.

All of the tees are 100% cotton and are preshrunk (except the Heather Gray that is 90% cotton/10% polyester). All of their tees are dryer safe, but like all cotton, they are prone to a small amount of shrinkage in the first few washes. To ensure your design stays fancy and pristine I suggest turning them inside out when in the washer and dryer.

I have written before about Thirsties diapers, and their AIO style. This will be a shorter article specifically about their pocket style.

Thirsties Baby makes a few different kinds of diapers, one of them being a pocket diaper. A pocket diaper you stuff with different kinds of inserts. These are great diapers for quick wash and drying. I line dry mine and they dry within 12 hours if not faster. In the direct Ohio sun they can dry in as quick as an hour.

Thirsties Pocket:

  • A two-piece pocket diapering system combining 8 layers of absorbency with a waterproof exterior
  • One size diaper provides a customizable fit for most babies from 8 to 40 lbs
  • No need to remove soiled inserts; they agitate out in the wash

  • Inserts can be used individually or snapped together to provide four different absorbency and size options

This diaper is made to fit most babies weighing 8 to 40 lbs.

What I like in particular about this diaper is that it has 2 openings: one at the top and one at the bottom of the pocket. Other pocket diapers have one opening you use to stuff your the insert(s) inside. Having the two openings gives this diaper a few benefits, like being able to pull the insert in one side and tug from each end while getting it to lay flat. Great for larger hands…like my husband 😉 It also allows the insert to wiggle itself out when in the wash! Instead of having to remove the insert yourself when doing your load of diapers, the Thirsties pocket diaper, with the agitation from your washing machine, removes it for you! I love this feature.

I love baths. Period. End of sentence. As a mom, its some of the only alone time I will ever get. It is how like to unwind and relax after a crazy day. Vanilla Patchouli Fluffy Body Soap

I cannot get over how amazing this Fluffy Body Soap smells, seriously guys, it’s almost addictive. It has this light sweetness to it. Not a heavy thick sweet like maple syrup, but a soft and calm sweetness that only a touch of vanilla can provide. It lingers in the background, creating a relaxing environment. I am not into perfumes. When I was pregnant with both my children all perfumes became a turn off for me. I like things that smell nice, don’t get me wrong, but I am so much more sensitive to smells now. That being said, I love how this lingers. Typically a lingering smell can cause headaches and light-headiness in me, but not the Laline products. They use just the perfect amount of scents to create a lasting but never offensive product.

This fluff is made for a special soaping experience. It comes out in a creamy cloud consistency which melts on your skin as you bathe. The Vanilla Patchouli Fluffy Body Soap is infused with Aloe Vera and vitamin E to help nourish your skin which cleansing.
