Every season we have to update our entire shoe collection. We are now in the transition from muck boots and tired looking sneakers to cute new sandals! I love sandal weather. Mama’s Experience

My husband and I have never, and I mean never, tasted tomato sauces like The Blonde Italian before. My first use was the Crime In Italy sauce over Italian sausage. After the meal was done my husband asked if we could have the same meal the next day! We were literally using our forks to scoop all the sauce off our plate, not wanting to miss a bite. We didn’t want to waste any of this mind blowing sauce. Each and every product from The Blonde Italian’s line that we tried my husband and I would look at each other and be like, “How is it possible we lived without this stuff?” I mean it’s tomatoes. I have eaten hundreds of sauces, dips and tomato based products throughout my life. It’s a staple in our diet. Having children we eat pasta with red sauce weekly. We are so happy to know we have The Blonde Italian in our pantry now which can be used with so many dinners and dishes.

Giavanna’s Garden Garlic Seasoning

This is a garlic lovers dream! You just add more oil to this highly concentrated garlic mixture to make all your favorite dishes. Sure, you can buy plain old garlic in the jar at any local grocer. But this mixture is the elevated version of garlic. With perfectly balanced Italian seasonings used along side the fresh garlic, The Blonde Italian has created a seasoning worth your attention.

This can be used in many types of dishes: chicken, beef, fish, vegetables, bread dip….the options are limitless

The evening that I used this sauce I steamed some brussel spouts. I then took the water out of the pan and added in 2 tablespoons of Garden Garlic. It was awesome. I will be doing this again next week but plan on baking it in the oven with the Garden Garlic sauce, I think this will add some depth that can easily be gained with this sauce.

Sister Mia Savory Salsa (comes in mild or hot)

Salsa is something most all people love. In my household it is a party staple. A big old bag of chips with a jar of salsa will always be found at any party we host. Over this past Memorial Day weekend I served the The Blonde Italians salsa at our little get together. It was gone in a flash! Every person tried it and come back for another scoop. This salsa is chunky and what I would call ‘meaty’. It holds texture and it not just watered down tomatoes in a runny soup. These salsas keep their tomato texture, soft yet slightly firm. Each jar is seasoned with jalapeno peppers to add a kick. I love spicy foods, but if you don’t the hot will be out of the question too hot for you. Even the mild has a slight kick to it, so take a small bite at first. It had more kick for a mild then I expected.

The Mother Everything Sauce

The title says it all. This sauce does it all. From pasta to Eggplant Parmesan, this sauce holds up to any dish. Many recipes and dishes call for some tomato sauce. You can easily substitute in equal parts Everything Sauce for tomato sauce. It makes an amazing pizza sauce. My family loves to make little personal pizza on naan bread. It’s like a pita bread, thin bread that is unleavened. My family is big into the sauce that goes on our pizza’s. Being from Chicago, I understand that all parts of the pizza needs to be at their prime to truley make a perfect pie. The sauce can’t just be a bland sauce that is runny and lacks real depth. You need to have that slight seasoning that lays under the melted cheese. That sauce is where the flavor is held. If you miss that aspect then your pie will not be the epic slice you are craving. With The Mother Everything Sauce, you can guarantee a perfect pizza.

Crime In Italy Sauce

This sauce has changed our lives, and for the better. My husband and I have eaten this sauce with a spoon. It’s that good. No joke. You may think all tomato based sauces are the same. Tomatoes and spices. Straight forward enough. There is something The Blonde Italian did to this particular sauce that stuck a cord with my family. We are obsessed with it. The key to this sauce it that she added some Irish spices to this sauce, which as her grandmother would have said is a “Crime In Italy,”…and the name stuck.

We have tried it out on several dishes. We poured a whole jar over a raw Italian sausage and baked in the over to cook it. We used it over turkey burgers and beef burgers. Each time the sauce was the star of the dish instead of the protein. What sauce do you know of that can hold up to the protein? When you try this sauce don’t just get one jar! Grab a few because you are going to want more right away.

Simmer Sauce

Simmer Sauce is just like it sounds. A perfect sauce to use when slowly cooking your meal. We choose to use this sauce over a long tube of Italian Sausage. I placed the raw sausage in a cast iron skillet. Then I poured the entire jar of Simmer Sauce on top of the sausage. Not all over the skillet, just over the sausage so that it would really soak in the flavors during cooking, and so that the sauce wouldn’t burn and evaporate. Keeping it close together is the best option. You can also do this in a small glass dish so that the sauce isn’t spread out too much. This is such a complimentary meal. The seasonings in the sausage matched perfectly with the seasonings in the Simmer Sauce. This is definitely a staple meal in my house now.

Virgin Vodka Pasta Sauce

Vodka sauce is one of the most popular types of red sauces around. It is considered as a tasty sauce which you can get at cooking holidays in italy Its really a staple. This sauce has all the pop and awesomeness of a Vodka sauce, but without the Vodka! This non-alcoholic sauce is perfect for all dishes involving pasta sauce. Its creamy, smooth and flavorful. The Blonde Italians perfected this sauce by blending tomatoes, spices, garlic and sweet creme! YUM!

Typically Vodka sauce is used alone. The sauce is creamy and stands up without any help. The night we used this sauce I threw caution to the wind and added the Vodka Sauce to a pound of ground beef. It was so good! My toddlers both slammed on their pasta the night we did this.

Tom B. Tomato-Basil Bruschetta

Bruschetta, can you get more Italian than that? One of the best appetizers and snacks that I can think of. Hearty enough to be a full meal or easy enough to be a side dish, this fast and simple dish is something you should always keep in your back pocket. You can simply place this Bruschetta on top of a cracker, a piece of dried bread or make your own homemade appetizer! In the photo here I just took a few piece of Italian bread, slightly brushed them with olive oil. Baked the bread for about 10 minutes and then topped with Bruschetta and some fresh Parmesan cheese.

When my kids were infants I never felt like buying them shoes. They are so expensive and they grow out the them so fast. Besides, they can’t even walk! There were times, however, that we took them to a fancy event or holiday party. They had on their adorable dress or suit. Looking perfectly adorable. Then you see their plain old socks. Ugh! Now that my kids are toddlers, they do wear shoes as they are literally running all over the place. But, when we are at a party at someones house, we take our shoes off like the polite guests we are. I was able to try out 2 sets of their socks – the Hampton Variety for Girls Size Preschooler 2-4 year. My daughter is now obsessed with these socks. She was talking about them all day. Her favorites are the “ones with the toes!” There is a pair called Flip Flops – Little Sunshine. They make your foot look like its barefoot with painted toenails with a big flower on the flip flop. My daughter, like many other little girls, think that nail-polish is “so cool”. She was thrilled that her feet could look all fancy with polish by simply wearing some socks. She even wanted to wear them to bed last night. While I do like all 6 of the styles in the Hampton Variety, my favorite style in them are the Mary Jane style. This classic shoe style translates so well into a sock. It’s simple, classic and fits all occasions.

As for my son, we tried the Variety Original for Boys Preschooler 2-4 year. At age 2, he has not developed a care for his clothing. I am sure he will care very much in the future, but for now he wears what I put on him without any argument. I liked all 6 pairs in this pack, but I did have 2 favorites. The Cowboy Boots and the Boys Sandals. They both cracked me up! I live in the country and have often joked about buying my kids cowboy boots. With the way they grow like weeds, I just never splurged on them. When I saw that I can get my kids to wear cowboy boots but in the form of socks I was tickled pink. Later, we tried on the sandals and I loved how grown up he looked in them. I got an inside glimpse at what he may look like as a little boy in a few years and it warmed my heart.

SnuggyBaby Cloth Diaper Review

SnuggyBaby is run by and owned by an average mother. When she had her first child she was unable to find a ring sling baby carrier in a style she really desired, so she just made one herself! After countless compliments and people wanting one for themselves, she decided to open her own business. Being a knowledgeable mom, she also knew what people want in a cloth diaper. She loved the concept of All-in-Two (AI2) diapers.

The AI2 style diaper is a system where the diaper is 2 pieces: the inside/absorbable part and the outside cover. The way the SnuggyBaby diaper is designed is for full coverage with a flat insert. Typically with AI2 diapers there is a small strip or pad looking insert that snaps or lays in the cover. This a fine, but when the child gets older and has more urine in their diaper and their poops get more, let’s say larger, the AI2 often have leaks. They cannot stand up in those situations. This is where SnuggyBaby stands out. My favorite part about the SnuggyBaby diaper is that it has a large, oversize insert that is the widest I have ever used, giving this diaper way more coverage. This helps hold the contents inside the cover, where I want them!

The cut of SnuggyBaby’s insert allows you to easily slip the ends into pocket like folds in the cover, keeping the insert in place without a ton of snaps. There is a single snap, which I have used and not used. The way it’s designed I feel like the snap is a personal preference – use it or skip it. After a few washes the insert looks the same but the absorbency increases. This is normal for any cotton/hemp material diaper. The insert also fits better after a wash or two, like it settles into place.

The insert has a petal design for fast drying, which every cloth diaper using parent can appreciate. It’s perfect for HE washers in my opinion because it agates itself in the wash. They are 100% cotton with a wicking jersey-polyester stay-dry liner to help keep your baby cozy and feeling dry. The covers can be used with fitted diapers and prefolds, but they are really designed to be used with the SnuggyBaby Inserts. SnuggyBaby has both cotton and hemp liners available. The ones shown in the image below, the ones I reviewed, are the hemp inserts.

The outside of the cover is a cotton knit, but the inside is a stay dry polyurethane. This keeps the moisture on the inside of the diaper without leaking through the cover, but also keeps the outside of the cover cute and soft. Those adorable baby rolls that will touch the outside of the diaper will be against soft cotton, just like the soft cotton liner. The binding, the parts that are the edges of the diaper, are all a waterproof material, which is what you need for the ‘big’ moments.

The most unique aspect of the SnuggyBaby cloth diaper is the ‘bottom snap’! You can snap the button (butt area) of the diaper a little bit tighter for tiny babies and newborns! Every diaper is kinda big on a newborn. Yes, they are ‘one size’ and ‘fit newborns to toddlers’ but really, they big on newborns. The bottom snap, which I have never seen before, really makes this diaper stand out. This makes a huge difference on the fit of the diaper on small babies.

All of the SnuggyBaby diapers are made in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Yup, Made In America. All of the materials are made in the USA too. This diaper is American, all the way. This fact is very important to the owner of SnuggyBaby. They wanted to insure that their diapers are ethically made by supported, happy workers. The ‘small’ SnuggyBaby wetbags are the perfect size, not too big and not too small. Many times I just need the wet bag to hold 1 or 2 diapers. I am just running a few errands or heading to the zoo for the morning. I don’t need a huge bag that will take longer to dry. On the flip side I need my wetbag to be large enough to also toss in my child’s clothes into if lunch gets too messy. I cannot stand having to squeeze a diaper into a too small bag. The SnuggyBaby wetbags are the perfect size for a mom like me. They dry fast and are super cute. The zipper is durable and the bag is well made. Mama’s Experience

I am not a vegan, but I do enjoy all types of foods. One of my best friends is a vegan and she was so excited to hear about Veestro. When people make the choice to eat vegan its typically due to their believes in the ethical treatment of animals. This is not the only reason, just one of many. Veestro only has plant-based foods that are healthy and read to heat and eat! Their selection is broad, giving you so many options. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner and every dessert options. I love knowing that if I can find any type of food through Veestro, even soups and juices. I was able to try a few different meals by Veestro and I can honestly say that I liked every single one of them.

The Breakfast Burrito

This was such an amazing start to my day. It was packed with all the fun spices and flavors that I want in a warm and filling burrito. All the black beans really made this a filling meal. The sauce has a kick, which I love! I really love hot foods, so to me it was not too hot, but if you don’t like things that are spicy I would steer clear of the sauce on this one – because it has a slight punch to it. I, however, used all the sauce because I couldn’t stop myself! It was so tasty and paired perfectly with not only the burrito but also the potatoes. The potatoes were soft just crisp. Like they just come out of the oven. For something I microwaved, I am clueless how they perfected those spuds to make them taste so fresh.

The Spanish Torta with Black Bean Sauce

I have never had a Torta before, but based on the image on Veestros website, I was totally sure it was a Mexican pie-like dish with a flaky crust topping, and I so right on LOL! This torta the spot on a busy weekend for me. I did not have time to gather myself a lunch when my kids were having their typical toddler pre nap meltdown. I was running on zero and needed a meal and fast! I tossed this in the microwave and took a quick picture before I scarfed it down. I was so good I wished I had 2! The sauce was so simple but pared perfectly with the torta. If you like Mexican food, then you need to try this one for sure.

The Chocolate Covered Cheezecake

I am such a dessert lover. I love cheesecake. My vegan friend, who I loving call ‘cheese’, no longer eats cheese! She has not eaten a cheesecake in years. Now she is able to eat it once again! This vegan ‘cheezecake’ is dairy-free but still tastes like heaven! I honestly have no clue how how they did this one and I don’t care! Just get me another slice!! It is smooth and moist. The crust is my favorite, solid but not too hard. The chocolate covering on top just makes it more exciting. While it may not be ‘real’ cheese, this cheezecake is definitely something any vegan should try.

The Eggplant Casserole

I love eggplant. I love how it’s hearty and really filling. This eggplant not only hit the spot but totally filled me up! I was excepting to also eat some fresh veggies and a yogurt (I am not vegan) with it for my full meal. Once I finished eating the Eggplant Casserole I didn’t even think of eating more. I am such a fan of cheese. If you miss cheese in your vegan diet, then you need to try this dish. The vegan cheese used in here really gives you the ricotta feel and flavor. The sauce is a nice compliment. It didn’t over power the dish. It was a small amount of sauce but the casserole was crazy moist and the sauce was not needed for moisture reasons. It is purely another layer in the flavor party that is this dish.

The Soba Noodles with Peanut Sauce

They had me at peanut sauce! I love a rich peanut sauce so much. I knew I had to try out this one out. I was not let down! It was soft, rich and not too thick but not at all runny. Great texture for those who are funny about textures and their food. This meal needs to be thawed out so I placed it in my fridge overnight so that it was perfect for lunch the following day. I warmed it up using the micorwave because I like my sauce and noodles a little warm. There were tiny bits of cucumber and carrot, which gave a very fresh feeling to it. But, like I said, this mean was all about that rockin’ peanut sauce.

As I have gotten older I find that I need more structure and organization to my life. I have become the queen of list making and feel the need to make sure everything I have has a “home”. Now that I have a baby on the move making sure that not only does everything have a home, I need to make sure that it’s out of reach of little hands. This Mama Experience

Like I said before being a hairstylist the Hot Iron Holster is my favorite. Getting ready in the morning has gotten a

little more difficult now that I have a crawling baby. I love the grip that the Hot Iron Holster has to the countertop; I don’t have to worry about little hands pulling the cord and my 400 degree flat iron falling off the counter. With it being prom and wedding season I am always struggling for space while using multiple hot tools, it’s so convenient to be able to have the iron I’m using hanging within reach. How to Use a Cafe PRO

The Cafe PRO may look intimidating but it can easily be mastered. You need to use caution and should read the owners manual in it’s entirety before using this magnificent machine. I will highlight some basics here, but please read that manual!

It is best to grind your beans just before brewing, or as close to brewing as possible. When you grind use the espresso setting so that they are the correct texture. It should look like sugar granules when ground properly.

comes with a double spout portafilter and a bottomless portafilter. If you are a beginner and don’t know what those words mean, then you want to start with the double spout portafilter. Capresso Cafe PRO
features a state-of-the-art boiler to keep the water piping hot and ready for action on a moments notice. Due to this feature the cord on this machine is shorter than other electronics. This is because we do not want someone tripping over a boiling hot water holding device. Epic bad image. **shutters** The water is stored in a 42 oz removable water container. This makes filling it super easy.

Use the bottom end of the scoop that is included with the machine to press down on the grounds you put in the portafilter of your choice. This makes the grounds more compact and will brew more effectively and give you the bold flavor you desire. Then you need to attach it to the machine. This is a very easy set. Simply place the filter into the circular connector on the machine itself. The machine clearly reads ‘insert’ and ‘lock’. Have the handle on the left and rotate the handle toward the right until it hits the center of the machine. You can feel it lock into place. Once it is locked in place you can follow the instruction manual on how to brew a shot of espresso.

I love the 15 bar pump feature – which allows you to get that super lovely top foamy goodness that is the iconic look of a classic cup of espresso. 15 bar simply put means it has a greater force of atmospheric pressure, which results in better pressure when the water is pressing the grinds – making you that silky cup of espresso. You can see below the beginning to end results of a simple shot of espresso. It comes out a light coffee color, but as it sets for a moment the separation occurs giving you a classic espresso.

In order to make a cappuccino you only need to add frothy milk to your espresso. Using the Best Milk Frother ensures that the milk will be as frothy as can be which will make the coffee taste even better. The Cafe PRO comes with a frothing wand, allowing you to make not only your espresso but a cappuccino as well. For a beginner making the froth is easy as making the espresso itself. Doing the fun cappuccino art you can find throughout Pinterest and at hip cafe spots it a real talent and takes loads of practice, as well as a gift for art in my opinion. To make the froth add cold milk to a cold metal pitcher. Click here to see more of these milk froth pitcher‘s. Add around 4 or more ounces of milk to the pitcher. On your machine you need to purge the frothing wand. This is basically a special word for saying clean out the old milk and air out of it. You let it run into the metal catch tray (or a thick towel) for 10 seconds. This steam is HOT and will burn you, I am not brave enough to use a towel and I choose to use the tray to catch the steam. Be sure to use care & safety when using the froth wand. After it is purged you place the tip 1/3 of an inch into the milk. Tilt the pitcher so that you have it at an angle up to 45 degrees. Turn on the froth wand and let it push the steam into the milk for 2-4 seconds to the top, then push the tip a little bit more into the milk to create a whirlpool effect. Let froth for around 10-12 seconds total. Any longer may scorch the milk. Once you take the wand out you will see some bubbles at the top. Tap the cup on your counter and softly twirl the cup so that the foam on top mixes with the milk. Then slowly pour the milk into your espresso. Voila! A homemade cappuccino.
