This is not exclusive to Netflix, because you can use a VPN for unblocking Hulu or Amazon Prime videos. Of course, proxies do a similar job too. The Perfect Airport Carry On For Kids

Traveling with kids is exciting…and exhausting!

Anything we can do to make a trip easier – whether in a car, train or plane – is worth it in the end.

The Fox family took our first ‘big’ family vacation to Legoland, Florida. We decided since we are done having kids, Lord willing, and the youngest is potty trained, we will take on the next step and try our hand at a big vacation. Although we were very apprehensive of travelling with kids, we did it anyway! We have been so excited about this adventure, but want things to be as fun, easy and smooth as possible. There are so many places I want to visit but I just need to start with small trips, to get the kids used to travelling. I really want to visit the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Grapevine TX after one of my friends visited and told me how good it was but I might wait until the kids are a bit older. To make travelling to Florida a bit easier, I knew I needed to get the kids their own backpack style carry on’s for the airplane.

While at the airport we have decided to take our car seats. We want to watch them being put on the plane (making sure they are really on the plane and not getting tossed around and possibly damaging the seats integrity). We will also need to have hands on our own carry on’s and the 2 kids, so our hands were gonna be full. We needed to ensure that the kids could comfortably carry their carry on’s without any issues. When we got our Deuter Kikki backpacks we just knew that things were going to go smoothly.

Deuter Kikki Kids Backpacks

Carry on’s have limits of size, even for children. The Kikki’s were the perfect size at 14 / 7.9 / 6.3 Inch (H x W x D). Fitting on my tiny 3.5 year old (wears a 2T) and my daughter who is now in a size 6T. These bags are the best for toddlers, preschoolers and young elementary students alike. I loved how they have so many extra features like 2 side pockets for drinks, snacks or small stuffed animals. A “d” ring, which you can attach key chains, carabiners , or other trophies.

The sternum strap helps stabilizes the pack on the child shoulders. I love this feature as my smaller child is not the strongest. I needed him to be able to carry the pack comfortably, and this feature made a world of a difference. The breathable foam back minimizes perspiration and comes in 3 colors: pink, blue or green.

It has a name tag feature on the inside, so if child gets lost or the bag is left somewhere, you can have the parent contact information available, but not visual to a person from the outside.

Fits perfectly under a compact plane seats for take offs and landings

I was able to put the following, with extra room left, in our Kikki’s for the plane ride:

  • A full sized iPad, in a large rubber kid-proof case
  • Headphones
  • Several thin/first reader books
  • Sticker activity set
  • A smaller sized stuffed animal
  • Small toy figurines
  • Snacks and a water bottle

Jammy Girl – Bath Bombs for Fall

Mama’s needs some alone time!

Draw me up a warm bath, hand me a cold glass of water & a good book. Then toss in a bath bomb and I am set for the night.

One of my most favorite times of the day is when the kids are happily sleeping in their beds, my husband is watching some weird TV show I have no interest in and I get to be alone, all alone, in my bathtub. This is like a sacred time for a mom. We work all day and night, giving ourselves to our family, our jobs, our homes, but now, at last, the time is for us. So girlfriend, take a bath and relax, as this may help you relieve some of your stresses after a very long day and/or week. From choosing to make your own bath bombs to buying some on sites like ambarygardens.com, everyone deserves to treat themselves once in a while. And bath bombs are a great way to do just that!

But it is not just us mom’s who love to relax in a fun tub environment, kids love it too. One day my 4 year old daughter came into the rest room while I will soak in a tub with a bomb. She instantly was attracted to the scent and colors the bath bombs provide. I promised if she went back to bed I would allow her to take her own bath with a bomb another day. I held true to my promise and my daughter got her bath bomb experience. She was instantly in love with them.

Bath bombs and fun bath products are not always just for adults, many are safe for children to use too. Parents can get worrisome about the types of ingredients used in products they exposure their children to. All the products should not be used on children under the age of 3. My almost 5 year old daughter loves bath bombs and sugar scrubs. She loves the big kid lifestyle, and feels so grown up when she gets to use products such as those.

Being a bath tub addict, I have used more bath items that you can imagine. I am always searching for fun, new products to try and enjoy. And boy, oh boy, do I enjoy Jammy Girl!

Jammy Girl is special because each product is made my the owner, who is only 12.5 years old!

Zori, age 12.5, is a perfect little girl who is now home-schooled. Dealing with anxiety, we found out that homeschooling was the best option for her learning styles, and is now thriving! As a parent, we want what is best for our children. We strive to give them all we can to help them become the strong, healthy people we wish them to be. Zori’s mother is like you and me, and she works hard to ensure her daughter is moving forward in the right direction.

Knowing she has some social anxiety, Zori decided to help herself work on this part of her by challenging herself to march right into social situations. By attending farmers markets, and other platforms, she works on promoting her businesses while also working on how to handle herself in social situations. Whether she has social anxiety or not, that is HUGE for a 12.5 year old! Were you thinking of how to better yourself, better your growth and how to be a productive person in society at age 12? I certainly did not. Some friends have suggested that using cannabis from places similar to Canada Cannabis Dispensary might help her with social anxiety but I think she is too young for that at the moment. Maybe when she is older if the issue still persists. Maybe when she is older if the issue still persists. [One idea is using bath bombs with cbd and you should consult with your doctor first but especially for adults this is a relaxing non invasive way to use CBD.]

All products are made with natural ingredients. Some include a foaming agent called SLSA, “An excellent soap replacement when sensitivity is present. Derived from coconut and palm oils, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA) is a safe, skin friendly cleanser that offers rich lather without the irritation potential of some of the other good foamers.”

Crush Life’s Obstacles with Jammy Girl

Jammy Girl is named such for a fun and real reason. It’s because each product is made by Zori while in her “uniform” of pajamas! Of course these are special pajama’s so she works in a clean environment staying up to code. We use bath products to have fun, relax and just enjoy ourselves. Knowing that each product is produced in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere brings such joy to the buyer. It was made with love, care and thoughtfulness instead of being simply mass produced.

Jammy Girl supports the adoption community but being advocates for loving adoptees. Zori was adopted as a small child and speaks boldly about being a child of adoption. One of her hashtags in life is #AdoptionRocks

After using several of the Jammy Girl products I have a few things to say:

  • They are lightly scented – not over powering, but enough to enjoy
  • They are colored with your tub in mind – all of them have enough color to affect the water in your tub, but not so much that it leaves a ring
  • They have fun added 3D items like flower petal in some – which increases the fun

Jammy Girl offers custom orders as well as special group orders for weddings, baby showers, and other package gift options

Woven wrap soft structured carrier conversions are highly sought after. They’re beautiful, supportive but soft and stand out from their cotton print and canvas opponents. However, they can be very expensive because you must purchase the wrap and the conversion. Until now. Recently, Chimparoo added a new designer collection with woven wraps, Mei Tais, ringslings and TREK carriers made from gorgeous woven fabric: The Chimparoo Designer Collection. Enter to win your choice of TREK Air-O from Chimparoo below!

The Chimparoo TREK Air-O is made with the same beautiful jacquard woven fabric as the woven wraps and features a breathable panel. You can read Mama Banana’s Adventures Designer TREK review for details about the collection. However, unlike a wrap, it goes on and buckles quickly for shopping, traveling, hiking or even at home. The carriers are both beautiful and functional. You can see the product features and purchase on the Chimparoo website.

Getting Kids Ready for Bed with Brian the Pekingese

Go to sleep! Please?!

This is often how I feel at 7:30 pm each night. I love my kids, but the bedtime battles are rough. Some nights are better than others, and some nights are much, much worse…

After many trials and efforts there are a few things I have come to a conclusion on when it comes to bedtime for the Fox kids.

  1. Routine – Kids understand routine. If you do the same thing each night, the consistency assures them and gives them the comfort they desire. They can understand what is coming next and there is much less of a fight.
  2. Full Belly – I try to give my kids a snack and water before bedtime. This helps that oh-so-annoying “I am hungry/thirsty” excuse.
  3. Cozy PJ’s – The more comfortable my kids are while laying in bed, the better their sleep. If they have soft pajama’s on there is less twisting and squirming around to get in that perfect sleeping pose.
  4. Bathroom Trip – We have the kids try to use the toilet, wash their hands and brush their teeth right before bed.
  5. Stuffy and Story Time – My kids love stuffed animals. Like love them. They each choose a few stuffy’s (as we call them) to sleep with that night. This give them a sense of comfort and security. After we cuddle in we read 1 – 3 books depending on time, length of book and honestly, my mood!
  6. Prayers and Lights Out – After our story time is completed we pray to Jesus for our day we just had, all our friends and family and for the following day. This gives my kids the final nod of the day. The “the end” moment

Brian the Pekingese is a special yellow dog that has come into our hearts and helped aid in our bedtime habits.

Brian is a dog that helps get your child ready for bed some of the most important ways:

  • Pajama’s
  • Stuffed Animal
  • Bedtime Story

At Brian the Pekingese they know that children’s pajama’s should be worn by children, not made by them. Sadly, this is a reality of the world, but with Brian the Pekingese, you can rest assured that all their pajamas are made in the USA. Using no flame retardant chemicals and 100% organic cotton material, you can just feel the softness and love behind each pair of pajamas.

They offer both short sleeve/short sets and long sleeve/pant sets, so no matter the weather there is a perfect pair for your child. We love that they have boy, girl and gender neutral prints, so you can shop with man options.

The novel – you can purchase here – is a perfect easy to read bedtime (or daytime) story. “Sharing With Friends” showcases the topic of sharing using the main protagonist, Brian the Pekingese. When he sees a situation arise, he chooses to share and make a new friend. I love how straight forward and simple this book is. It has some of the best Children’s book illustrations I’ve seen which really helps bring it to life. It really makes the perfect gift for a young child. You can buy the book separate or as a package along with the stuffed animal of Brian the Pekingese.

Something Special – Recycle Your Brian the Pekingese Pj’s!

That’s right, when your child out grows their Brian the Pekingese pj’s, you have the option to mail them back (postage paid) and Brian the Pekingese will recycle the cotton.
