My two year old asks for a snack about 37 times a day.

SILICONE DIVIDED TODDLER PLATES

The WeeSprout divided plates are the perfect addition to our home. I love using these plates for our two year old.

BPA, PVC, lead, and phthalate free. These are all materials we don’t want in the products we’re using; especially when eating off them.

Made of 100% food grade silicone, these FDA/LFGB certified plates are perfectly safe for children.

These plates come in a variety of bright, fun colors; all available in packs of three. I love bright colors, and our house is full of them, so these plates are the perfect addition to our kitchen!

The plates are so easy to clean, and can even go into the dishwasher. Not only that, but the plates are perfectly safe to in the microwave too!

I love that the plates nest together. Storage space is minimal because of how well they sit together; which is very important in our little house. Because of how well they stack they can stay super organized – this mama loves that feature!

“NATURE’S LITTLE SQUEEZE” REUSABLE FOOD POUCHES

Preparing healthy food just got a lot easier with these reusable food pouches. These pouches are not only reducing waste because of the reusable factor, but they are saving you money and giving you the option to give your child exactly what you want them to eat. We all want our kids to eat healthy, right? So these pouches truly allow you to be creative and fill them up with true, raw, natural ingredients.

WeeSprout makes it easy to fill the pouches with applesauce, smoothies, yogurt, baby food, fruit and/or veggie purees. Filling and cleaning the pouches is easy because of the extra wide zipper opening. I would recommend using a funnel to fill the pouches. I have found that it’s much easier and less messy doing it this way.

The bottom of the pouch has two zippers that close easily and are super strong. We haven’t had any leaking problems with these pouches. The duel zippers really do keep leaks at bay. We all know that this is a huge positive when giving kids food. Last thing we want is to find some fruit puree on the floor or in the car seat.

The rounded corners on the top of the pouches means there is no corners for food to get trapped in. When cleaning, water flows easily through the zipper opening and down out the spout – easy peezy! It is recommended that before putting the pouches on the top rack of the dishwasher you rinse them.

My favorite aspect of the pouches is that I can freeze them. This makes my life so much easier; it saves me a ton of time too! When filling my pouches I make a large batch of whatever I’m filling it with, and then freeze the extra pouches. Seriously such a lifesaver.

When thawing a pouch I recommend using the same method you would when warming up a baby bottle. Fill a bowl, cup, or container with hot water and place the pouch in the water until thawed. Warm the water in the microwave if needed. You can also hold the pouch under warm water until thawed to your desire.

These food pouches are perfect for children of all ages. There are three sizes of pouches offered: 3.4oz, 5oz, and 7oz. We have the 3.4oz. and 5oz. pouches and they are great for our two year old; I think the 7oz. would be too much for him.

Silicone is:

Safe. Silicone is primarily made up of silicon. Silicon is a natural element that is found in sand and rock. When silicon is combined with oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen, it’s transformed into silicone. Silicone is inert – lacking the ability or strength to move – so it doesn’t react with food or liquid. Silicone is hypo-allergenic and does not promote bacteria or fungus growth.

Non-toxic. Silicone is BPA free and does not contain toxic chemicals like bisphenol-A, lead, PVC and phthalates.

Durable. The durability of silicone means that you will really not have to worry about disposable for a long time. The long lasting silicone takes away from the waste that you would otherwise create. You can also recycle silicone. Send your Silikids products back to them and they’ll recycle them for you!

Universal Tops

These tops are super great. Just like the name says – they’re universal. These tops fit on any cup, regardless of size. The beauty of these tops is that they turn any cup into a children’s cup in just seconds. Seriously so cool!

Two options are available for these tops – sippy top or straw top. Both of these options are great for children of any age. Not only are these tops good for the environment, they are a great money saver. Having cups in the house already means you only need these toppers. No extra kids cups sitting around the house taking up unwanted space.

Although the universal tops are made to fit any size cup, I would recommend using the tops on smaller sized cups. I had a few experiences with the toppers where some of the cups I used were just a little too big. Better be safe than sorry and use a smaller rimmed cup! But even better, invest in the Silikids silicone cups. These cups are perfect for kids, won’t break, and make the switch over from plastic complete.

Reusable Silicone Straw

These silicone straws are great for children and adults. Six packs and three packs are available and come in different lengths, for different cup heights.

The straws are perfect for little teeth and especially great for teething kiddos. The softness of the straws are great for soothing gums; any baby will enjoy that! That being said, these straws are also a fabulous alternative for adults with sensitive teeth or sore gums! In some cases, these sore gums may be a canker sore lurking inside the cheek, luckily treatment such as Luminance RED is available to help alleviate that soreness, however, if it is their gums, the appropriate treatment is a must. A friend of mine has recently had to undergo treatment for periodontitis (also known as gum disease) so I will definitely be recommending these silicone straws to her. Which reminds me, my friend told me that if you are considering treatment for periodontitis Sydney is home to some fantastic dental professionals that can provide the advice and support you need to get your smile looking back to its best. Just be sure to reach out to a few different dentists to find the best treatment plan for your needs.

Reusable Snack Bags

These reusable bags are the perfect replacement to disposable bags. Use them over and over again and don’t feel like you’re hurting the environment; because you’re not!

If you’re like me, it’s really easy grab a ziplock bag and fill it with snacks for the kids or food for hubbies lunch. But now that I have these reusable bags I love grabbing one and filling it with goodies, I feel better that I’m not waisting anything.

The bags are super easy to open and close. The simple closure on the bag pops into the hole and is easier use than a zipper. Due to the way this bag closes, there is not a complete seal. I would recommend not putting food into the bag that should be sealed shut in order to stay fresh. We mostly use the bag for fruit, veggies, and nuts.

You can even write on the bag with a washable marker or a pen, it wipes off very easily. Writing on the bag allows you to know what’s in it without opening it up. You can write your name on the bag so no one eats your food, or write a note on the bag for your hubby or kiddo!

The bottom of the bag is gusseted, which allows the to stand up on its own. This is perfect for snacking and makes filling the bag super convenient.

Silikids is a great way to transition your family away from plastic. The silicone products are super safe and perfect for children, and adults too.

I love the straws and that you can use them for not only the Silikids products but other drink containers as well.

The products are durable and the fun, bright colors are sure to bring some sunshine into your home.

The best part though?

They can be washed in the dishwasher.

Bandana Bibs for Babes

Have any of your kids drooled a bunch?

Like REALLY drooled.

 

 

With my first child, drool was not really an issue. Yeah, when he was teething he drooled a little bit, but never to the extent that my second child does.

Baby number two is a drool machine.

It started when he was about two months old and hasn’t stopped or slowed down one bit.

 

The drool was quite the annoyance until my sister-in-law told me about the perfect solution – bandana bibs. She already had experience with a few different brands and was able to recommend her favorite to me.

Burp Cloths for Mama’s on the Go

Anyone who’s had babies of their own or who has been around babies knows how important it is to have burp cloths on hand.

Whether you’re in the living room, nursery, at the store, grandmas house, or even in the car; burp cloths are an absolute must.

And lets face it, you can’t just have any old burp cloth.

Seriously.

You need a burp cloth that is absorbent and large. One that fits well on your shoulder and won’t fall off. And it’s a plus if the burp cloth is cute. Am I right?!

Well lucky for us (and you!), we found the perfect burp cloths!

 

 

Little Iguana Mama stay put burp cloths are seriously the most perfect burp cloth you’ll find on the market right now.

Becki, the owner and founder of Little Iguana Mama, constantly found herself scrambling and searching for a burp cloth and often times not getting one quick enough. She (like any mom) would forget where she put the burp cloth in her house, creating quite the dilemma when needing one. Not only that but she was always digging through the diaper bag looking for the burp cloth.

All this led her to create the Little Iguana Mama burp cloth, named after her son who’s nickname is ‘little iguana’. [Seriously so adorable!] Creating the burp cloths gave an effective solution for many of the problems we face with an everyday, run of the mill burp cloth.

I love that the cloth is made from triple layer flannel. It is so soft and absorbent. I haven’t experienced the cloth being wet enough to soak through both sides! Yay for keeping mom and dad’s shirts clean and dry.

 

 

 

 

On the underside of the burp cloth there is a clip that clips to your shirt right at your shoulder. This clip is perfect for feeding, allowing you to easily move baby to the shoulder for breaks and for burping. The clip is also super helpful in that the burp cloth doesn’t move while your holding and carrying baby around. This burp cloth is seriously a stay-put cloth!

 

 

 

The contoured shape of the burp cloth is one of my favorite features. This shape perfectly lays on your shoulder and around your neck for a great, snug fit. The Little Iguana Mama burp cloth is much longer than the average burp cloth too. These features help keep it from falling off your shoulder and ensure that there will be no more spit up going on half of the burp cloth and half on your shirt.

 

 

On the end of the burp cloth is a ribbon with a clip attached to the end. This clip is great for a multitude of purposes. Use it to keep the cloth easily accessible while out and about. Clip it to the diaper bag, infant carrier, or stroller. You can also use the ribbon clip to wrap around the outside of the cloth after rolling it like a burrito. Perfect for easy access and storage!

 

 

The ribbon clip creates good alternative uses too.

One suggestion that Little Iguana Mama gives is clipping this ribbon clip to the burp cloth itself while the cloth hangs on your shoulder. This will ensure safety for your child, as a clip won’t be hanging from ribbon. Doing this will also create more weight on the burp cloth preventing further movement of the cloth while it’s on your shoulder!

 

We have been putting the burp cloth around my sons neck and using it as a bib. It’s perfect to catch spit up or, like we use for my son, to catch drool. If doing this I recommend only doing so while you are in the same room and you’re watching your child. Always want to be extra safe with our littles!

 

 

Seriously mama’s, these Little Iguana Mama burp cloths are one of the best cloths I’ve found on the market. I love that I can find our burp cloths now because of the ribbon clip. I can keep them in places I need without them falling onto the floor! The length of the cloth, the underside clip, and the weight of the ribbon clip keep the burp cloth from falling off of my shoulder – a serious life savor.

A Sound Sleep

My oldest turns two in April. Since birth he’s been the best sleeping baby I’ve known.

Seriously.

The first four months of his life were pretty much spent sleeping. We didn’t know it wasn’t normal until now. Our second baby opened our eyes up a little bit to a more normal baby schedule. Number two is still a great sleeper, but I’m not sure any of our kids will ever compare to baby number one. As for our sleeping, baby number two really test our ability to sleep through anything. My husband even suggested that we visit a site similar to CPAP to try out one of their sleep machines to see if we could get a good night’s sleep. Many parents do struggle to get a good night’s sleep when their baby is trying to settle into a normal sleep cycle, so we’ve been quite lucky really. I do know that some of my friends who have had kids recently have been using gummies for sleep. They contain CBD, which promotes calm and improves rest without sedating them, so they can still get up if their baby needs them during the night. There are countless other things that you can do to help both you and your baby to sleep better at night, such as using lavender oil or reducing blue light emissions. A combination of a few things, therefore, might be the perfect recipe for the perfect night’s sleep.

All that being said, when I found the LectroFan Kinder I was super excited. This sound machine is something you didn’t know you needed for your kiddos. It’ll be interesting to see how it compares against other sound machines as it’s up against some strong alternatives, as seen in this Hatch baby rest review which seems to be a particularly advanced product.

We have a small house and my son’s room is downstairs just off our living room and kitchen. When my husband and I stay up and watch tv you can hear it very well in the kid’s bedroom.

Like I said before, both my kids sleep well, so a sound machine isn’t a necessity – they can both sleep without it no problem. But the noise is seriously such a help. Keep reading to see why we like the LectroFan Kinder so much.

The LectroFan Kinder is so easy to use. Using the Kinder app on your phone with the bluetooth feature on, you can control the sound machine very smoothly. Turn the machine off and on with app the; and if you don’t have your phone with you for bedtime, no worries! Just hit the power button on the sound machine.

Using the app you can set different sleep options and save them so you can reuse them over and over again. You can name the sleep options so no one is confused while using the app; they cross over to any device. That’s the beauty of using the bluetooth feature! Currently our sleep options are ‘Nite’ and Napp’.

There are almost an unlimited amount of sounds with the LectroFan Kinder. Below are just a few. There are six different categories, each with more than nine options in them! Tons and tons of sounds to choose from!

I’m excited to use this sound machine in the future when I’m homeschooling my children. The natural category will be perfect for teaching and learning sounds – especially ones that we don’t hear where we live.

There are literally unlimited options to choose from when deciding what color you want the nightlight to be. As you can see in the photo below, you can simply tap anywhere in the rainbow circle for the color you want.

In the photo I am showing the brightness of the nightlight. The top photos are full brightness and the bottom photos are a little less than half of the brightness. These photos were taken during the day time, so in the night the lights will be even brighter!

The LectroFan Kinder is the perfect on-the-go sound machine. My parents live two hours away and we visit them often. I love that there are no cords attached to the Kinder; it will make packing so much easier! I can plug it in any outlet and there are no strings attached – literally!

This weekend we are going on a trip to some friends house, I 100% plan on bringing our LectroFan Kinder with us. It’ll be great because it will help the kiddos feel like they’re at home still, while also blocking out new, unrecognizable sounds.
