I have written before about Thirsties diapers, and their AIO style. This will be a shorter article specifically about their pocket style.

Thirsties Baby makes a few different kinds of diapers, one of them being a pocket diaper. A pocket diaper you stuff with different kinds of inserts. These are great diapers for quick wash and drying. I line dry mine and they dry within 12 hours if not faster. In the direct Ohio sun they can dry in as quick as an hour.

Thirsties Pocket:

This diaper is made to fit most babies weighing 8 to 40 lbs.

What I like in particular about this diaper is that it has 2 openings: one at the top and one at the bottom of the pocket. Other pocket diapers have one opening you use to stuff your the insert(s) inside. Having the two openings gives this diaper a few benefits, like being able to pull the insert in one side and tug from each end while getting it to lay flat. Great for larger hands…like my husband 😉 It also allows the insert to wiggle itself out when in the wash! Instead of having to remove the insert yourself when doing your load of diapers, the Thirsties pocket diaper, with the agitation from your washing machine, removes it for you! I love this feature.

  1. I have a Thirties cover, but haven’t tried their pocket diapers yet. I love that it has an opening on either side… that would be really helpful, especially agitating the insert out in the wash. Love this print!!

I did not know they made pocket diapers and AIOs, too. 🙂 I love that it has opening on both sides, since research is showing us that not all do.   9. I’m a fan of pocket diapers for sure! I have Thirsties duo wraps and love their quality, so I need to get my hands on one of these! I like the bigger slot for stuffing.

  15. I love that the main insert is hemp/cotton. I have some small Thirsties hemp/cotton inserts that I use as doublers overnight and they are so absorbent and soft!

  21. I had no clue that you don’t have to remove soiled inserts because they agitate out in the wash. That’s amazing!

  23. I love the double row of snaps– I find they almost always help get a better fit on my baby and keep the diaper from shifting and twisting when she rolls around. I admit to being a little skeptical about the inserts agitating out, though. But I’m open to being surprised!

  24. We’ve tried the Thirsties aio and their covers, but never the pockets. I especially love the hemp. We just got turned on to hemp and it’s a lifesaver for overnights.

  25. I just got a thirsties pocket not too long ago. My favorite feature is definitely the drying time with this one! Also, I didn’t know it was rated to 40lbs. That is exciting, considering my 5mo is already on the larger side of most babies!

  28. I have Thirsties covers and their AIOs, but I’ve never tried their pockets. They are by far my favorite brand though, and with number 2 due in a few weeks, I know what I’m stocking up on this Christmas!!

  35. I’m sad that my son has outgrown his size 1 cover- it was my go to cover- the Thirsties Owl ones…I havent tried their pocket diapers but I really like the look of them! Maybe one day I’ll be able to

  36. I am a total fan of thirsties! I have a few of their covers but have been dying to try some of their AIOS! I love how they have generous sizing too!

  37. I like how trim it looks one. Thirsties hemp insert is super. I also like the double gussets.

  38. I really like that this brand comes in a velcro option. It seems like everyone else just will NOT do snaps. No matter how easy I think they are, they still prefer velcro!

  39. I love thirsties covers so I’m excited to try their pocket diapers since those seem to be a favorite in our house. I love that you can snap the inserts together as well as the the diaper has a opening at each end which makes stuffing super easy!

  46. The two things I love most about my Thirsties pockets are the double opening (it makes stuffing so much easier) and the hemp insert. I’ve even used the hemp insert separately wrapped inside a flat diaper and it holds my baby all night long!
