Buildex Super Scoot Ride On Review

Who is Buildex

Buildex was created with future engineers in mind. These toys are made to be put together without any outside tools. The toys are put together using only the pieces provided and no outside items are required. By engaging your kids mind you help them develope problem solving skills, creative thinking and build self esteem. All of their toys are wooden and they only use non-toxic water paints to highlight the beauty of the wood while also keeping your family safe.

The Super Scoot Ride On Bike

Small, self scoot bikes are very hot right now. I have seen them popping up in my Facebook feeds, at the local toy stores, even on TV shows. I never paid too much attention to them until now. My son is a year and a half and is in total transportation obsession mode. He wants to constantly play with anything with wheels. I love the Buildex Super Scoot for several reasons:

  1. It was super simple to put together (like easy enough to do myself while watching my 1.5 and 3 yr old play outside)
  2. It is made with beautiful wood, keeping a natural, earthy look
  3. The paint is assured to be non-toxic and water based
  4. It is easy for my children to use

Some of the features of this bike include:

GridLock™ Building System – their patented GridLock™ construction system creates a one of a kind experience, they assemble safely and securely with no need for tools!

Real Suspension – The Grid-Lock™ system creates natural suspension which, in combination with functional steering, make for great challenge, learning and fun!

Safe™-Lock Building System – This new generation of toys encourages children to develop three dimensional thinking and an appreciation for construction, movement and design.

My favorite feature is the Safe-Lock. In order to get the piece attached to one another, they use a pull and snap feature which allows you to smoothly get the pieces together without a screw and screwdriver. When I saw this feature in real life I was amazed at how different and simple the concept was.

My son has a great time playing with his bike. He is too young to really get the concept of bicycle pedals. The coordination involved in petal bike is something he is still developing. This bike allows him to play bikes with his big sister in a way that he is able to control. This bike really builds confidence in young toddlers. Helping them build the base skills which will help him be able to ride a petal bike later in life.

I want to get one and put it together before my husband gets home! I can say it took me hours and he wouldn’t know any differently. Then maybe he will vacuum for once. Ha.

Our daughter loves her ride on toy byt it’s electronic so it’s not something we want her to take outside n potentially leave out in the rain. With this she could take it and stretch her legs out on the open road or at least the open side walk. Its perfect for our wild child.

Thanks for the review! Based on the fact that the scoot doesn’t require any tools to put together I would love to get one for my son. Like yours, he’s 16 months and into anything that moves!

I like that this scooter has 4 wheels- a good start before a balance bike. Did your son help build the scooter?
