The Covid-19 pandemic has been all anyone is talking or thinking about. This includes myself. I have been obsessed with watching the news. I crave hearing new information, watching the press conferences and reading anything our governor is reporting to the public.
All 3 of the MamatheFox writers live in the state of Ohio. Yesterday (3/12/2020) there were big decision made by our local government. These decisions include the following: no crowds over 100 people are to occur. This would be things like concerts, festivals, sporting events. They have also closed our schools (k-12, public and private) for at least the next 3 weeks. At the end of the three weeks the situation will be reevaluated.
EDIT – 3/22/20 Ohio is now under shelter in place orders

For the following weeks I, Danielle Fox – the owner of MamatheFox, will be writing journal entries. These entries will include facts I have learned about this pandemic. Sources I have found that are reliable. My own thoughts and feelings. How I am teaching my children at home during this time. How we are deciding to leave the house and how we interact with society. There will also be guest posts from my daughter, Dorothy (age 7).
It is already thought that at least 100,000 people in the state of Ohio have contracted the virus (as of 3/12/2020)
