New Home, New Baby, New Products

When you first have a baby, you’re surprised by how much stuff you need to buy in order to keep your little ball of noise joy happy and healthy. From a baby bottle sterilizer to a portable changing table to thousands of diapers, the list of items you need is almost neverending!

Add to that the fact that we have just recently moved into a new home and it caused a lot of chaos! The new house is much bigger than our previous house and so requires many different items and new additions. One has to make the most of your outdoor space to accommodate the new baby and also put in some safety measures that can help the baby be safe. Now those are the things that we didn’t previously have. We’ve moved a bit further out than our previous town, so we used a local moving company to get all of our belongings where they needed to be. Nevertheless, it is still chaos here!

Bye bye budget!

With a new home though, and with baby boy number three on the way, there are just a few things on our registry this time around.

I mean, its the third boy, what more could we possibly need for him?

Not much, that’s for sure. But a must have on the list is a new baby monitor.

I’ve been hunting, and researching, and digging into articles to find the perfect monitor. One that fits every single aspect of my list.

Well, I hate to break it to you new moms out there, but that just isn’t possible. You will [almost] never find the a product that is exactly what you were searching for. Some will be much, much better.

That’s where Babysense comes into play for us.

Their baby monitor and baby movement monitor meet so many items on my must have list, I thought I had to give it a try.

Video Baby Monitor

This baby monitor is seriously so great. The features that the monitor offers work well and many of them exceed my expectations.

These features include:

  • Interchangeable wide angle lens
  • Long range – up to 960 feet of open space
  • 2x’s digital zoom
  • Room temperature monitoring
  • Multi camera expandability – pair up to four cameras
  • Two-way talk back
  • ECO mode option
  • Auto infrared night vision
  • Night light
  • Lullabies & white noise sound

The ECO mode feature is my favorite of all the features. When the baby unit does not register sound for 30 seconds, the video on the parent unit shuts off, and so does the sound. The monitor goes into standby mode. When a sound is detected on the baby unit, the video and sound start transmitting to the parent unit. This ensures that you aren’t missing anything when the video and sound are in standby mode. This is a lifesaver for my husband too because he’s such a light sleeper. All the lights (even a little tiny green “on” light) need to be off in order for him to sleep.

There are three sensitivity levels in ECO mode – low, medium, and high. The sound level that is required to reactivate the transmission act in accordance to these sensitivity levels. Choose the sensitivity level you wish, or turn off ECO mode all together and use a constant transmission.

I really appreciate how clear the video is too. There is no eye straining to see if kiddo is actually in bed or not. Crystal clear video is just what you want! The night vision and brightness that the monitor gives really allows us to see well during the day, as well as throughout the night.

Baby Movement Monitor

New babies are such a blessing, and with them come a whole new slue of things to think about and be aware of. As parents we already don’t get very much sleep, then adding a newborn baby to the mix, and you’ve got even less of it. This baby movement monitor will really bring peace of mind when our new baby is born. We never had a movement monitor for our first two kiddos, so this will really help ease some unsureness.

The under mattress monitor is super easy to install and there are no visible cords, so baby is completely safe from danger. The control unit is connected to the under mattress sensor pads. A provided hook attaches to the bottom of the crib. The control unit connects to the hook and the cords from the pads attach to the control unit. All the cords are kept under the mattress and out of reach from baby.

An alarm will sound if no movement is detected for 20 seconds or if the movement rate slows to les than 10 micro-movements per minute. This will alert parent to check on baby and will hopefully startle baby awake if/when it sounds.

The sensors are HIGHLY sensitive and detect very slight movement through the monitor. This gives a lower risk of false alarms, which obviously no parent wants. I recommend that you test the monitor before placing baby in the crib. If you will be using a fan make sure you turn that on while testing to ensure the alarm doesn’t sound from the fan.

One downside that of the movement monitor is that you have to manually turn the unit off and on when putting baby in and taking baby out of the crib. This is something that is easily forgettable. Remembering to turn the monitor on when laying baby down is easier (for me) than remembering to turn the monitor off when getting baby out of the crib. This is more of an inconvenience than anything. The monitor itself is well worth the investment.

Diaper Caddy Organizer

Diaper caddy’s are so helpful when a new baby is in the home. Changing diapers constantly is just part of life with a newborn, so having diapers in multiple parts of the home is a necessity.

For our family, living in a larger home now will be much different with a newborn. That is why I am so excited to have this large diaper caddy. All the essentials I need in one place, that can be easily moved around is going to be a game changer.

I love the darker fabric that will hid much of what may get on the caddy. There are tons of pockets on the outside of the caddy – eight in all! Lots of space for changing pad, diaper cream, nail clippers, comb, etc. The inside gives three larger compartments, two of the same size and one slightly larger. These are where you’ll keep the essentials – wipes, disposable diapers, cloth diapers, wet bag, and anything else you may want to have near.

Not only is this caddy awesome for diapers, but it is great for an on-the-go travel caddy. Whether you’re going on vacation or just strolling around town, this caddy is a lifesaver to have in the backseat. Fill it with whatever car or travel essentials your kids like, and you’re set for hours!

This caddy is really great and I am excited to have it on hand when baby number three comes around.

The Babysense products are top of the line, and I completely recommend them to any new parent. Safety is a top concern when caring for our kids and Babysense really plays a roll in fulfilling that.

Button Diapers are Super!

Who loves Fluff Mail?!

This month I had the opportunity to try out Buttons Cloth Diapers. My sister has used them for both her boys so I wanted to see why she was so loyal to this particular brand.

Meet Button Diapers

Buttons was created by your typical mom who wanted to keep things simple. Her and her husband’s goal was to keep cloth diapering affordable and easy to use.

Their diapering options continue to expand and new adorable prints are frequently released.

I also want to add their social medias are a delight to follow! They always give great encouragement to cloth mamas and have fun revealing new prints!

The Diapers

Buttons diapers takes a new and improve twist on past cloth diapering systems. The outer shell is waterproof and wipeable, meaning it can be used multiple times before washing. Rather than changing the whole diaper (like inserts and AIO), just the insert can easily snap out and be replaced with a fresh clean one.

It also makes it convenient to use the same diaper night and day. Snap the daytime insert in for play time then at bedtime add a nighttime insert underneath a daytime insert for a peaceful dry night.

Sizes

Button Diapers covers have the same great quality in three different sizes.

Newborn, One-Size, and Super.

I especially loved their sizes because one-size really doesn’t fit all!

NEWBORN

Both of my cloth diapering sisters had babies in the fall. My sister with newborn Button diapers started cloth diapering way before my sister with one-size. The cut of these pip squeak diapers fit perfectly around even tiny newborn chicken legs and while still preventing mega leaks.

It is a big deal because after changing and washing 6-12 diapers a day, no one wants to add wardrobe changes to the laundry. Also with the estimation of newborns using over 300 newborn diapers, cloth can be a mega money saver in the end.

ONE-SIZE

One-size diapers are a great option for frugal cloth diapering. Both of my kids were born weighing over 8 pounds, so I assume I would have been able to put them in One-Size diapers before a month old.

I do find a lot of mom’s prefer waiting a month or so before switching to cloth. It gives them time to recover and relax before taking on diaper laundry.

Since these diapers can fit up to 35lbs it is likely they will fit until potty training. My son being of of those kids! So if you have a pretty average baby, one-size Button diapers could be your one stop shop for cloth diapering.

SUPER

Now a mom with an above average size babe, I appreciate the Super size. My daughter has always been in or above the 85% range for height and weight. Before she was mobile she was especially rolly-polly.

All the more to love right?!

I remember around 6-9 months thinking she was going to outgrow her one-size cloth diapers! The snaps were on the second to last spot and her back side would creep out when she was sitting. Fortunately, when she started walking and crawling she leaned out and developed more of a toddler shape. I actually was able to snap her diapers tighter.

However, the hight issue stayed the same. I could never find a diaper that completely covered her bum, and more importantly kept messes from spilling out. I feared she would exceed the maximum weight of her one-size diapers before we hit potty training.

The super sized diapers became a great addition to our cloth collection. They provide maximum coverage and maximum protection!

As if my daughter knew I was reviewing her diaper, she almost immediately “tested it out” if you know what I mean. I was happy to say her Buttons diaper held strong through crawling, rolling, walking, and even a dance party.

Inserts

Buttons offers a variety of snap inserts to meet the needs of your diapering preference.

DAYTIME: Buttons cloth inserts snap right into our diapers covers to keep inserts from shifting around.

  • Hemp/Cotton 3 Pack
  • Bamboo 3 Pack
  • Microfiber 3 Pack

NIGHTTIME: They work as a doubler when snapped underneath Buttons daytime inserts.

  • Hemp/Cotton 2 Pack
  • Bamboo 2 Pack
  • Microfiber 2 Pack

Since we are new to Buttons diapers we tried out their Hemp/Cotton Daytime Inserts.

These inserts are made with an incredible 4 layer absorbent system. Moisture-wicking fleece sandwiches layers of hemp and organic cotton.

The inserts are very durable and feel well made. I especially loved the seem and edging on each insert. It is rare to find both, and honestly I think it helps all the more to lock moisture in and prevent leakage with movement.

The snaps hold the inserts in place and are easy to remove and replace.

Overall I loved joining the Buttons Diapers family!

And to especially support Earth Day I wanted to leave you all with a few diapering facts!

  • Over 92% of all single-use diapers end up in a landfill.
  • No one knows how long it takes for a disposable diaper to decompose, but it is estimated to be about 250-500 years, long after your children, grandchildren and great, great, great grandchildren will be gone.
  • Over 300 pounds of wood, 50 pounds of petroleum feedstocks and 20 pounds of chlorine are used to produce disposable diapers for one baby EACH YEAR.

A Sound Sleep

My oldest turns two in April. Since birth he’s been the best sleeping baby I’ve known.

Seriously.

The first four months of his life were pretty much spent sleeping. We didn’t know it wasn’t normal until now. Our second baby opened our eyes up a little bit to a more normal baby schedule. Number two is still a great sleeper, but I’m not sure any of our kids will ever compare to baby number one. As for our sleeping, baby number two really test our ability to sleep through anything. My husband even suggested that we visit a site similar to CPAP to try out one of their sleep machines to see if we could get a good night’s sleep. Many parents do struggle to get a good night’s sleep when their baby is trying to settle into a normal sleep cycle, so we’ve been quite lucky really. I do know that some of my friends who have had kids recently have been using gummies for sleep. They contain CBD, which promotes calm and improves rest without sedating them, so they can still get up if their baby needs them during the night. There are countless other things that you can do to help both you and your baby to sleep better at night, such as using lavender oil or reducing blue light emissions. A combination of a few things, therefore, might be the perfect recipe for the perfect night’s sleep.

All that being said, when I found the LectroFan Kinder I was super excited. This sound machine is something you didn’t know you needed for your kiddos. It’ll be interesting to see how it compares against other sound machines as it’s up against some strong alternatives, as seen in this Hatch baby rest review which seems to be a particularly advanced product.

We have a small house and my son’s room is downstairs just off our living room and kitchen. When my husband and I stay up and watch tv you can hear it very well in the kid’s bedroom.

Like I said before, both my kids sleep well, so a sound machine isn’t a necessity – they can both sleep without it no problem. But the noise is seriously such a help. Keep reading to see why we like the LectroFan Kinder so much.

The LectroFan Kinder is so easy to use. Using the Kinder app on your phone with the bluetooth feature on, you can control the sound machine very smoothly. Turn the machine off and on with app the; and if you don’t have your phone with you for bedtime, no worries! Just hit the power button on the sound machine.

Using the app you can set different sleep options and save them so you can reuse them over and over again. You can name the sleep options so no one is confused while using the app; they cross over to any device. That’s the beauty of using the bluetooth feature! Currently our sleep options are ‘Nite’ and Napp’.

There are almost an unlimited amount of sounds with the LectroFan Kinder. Below are just a few. There are six different categories, each with more than nine options in them! Tons and tons of sounds to choose from!

I’m excited to use this sound machine in the future when I’m homeschooling my children. The natural category will be perfect for teaching and learning sounds – especially ones that we don’t hear where we live.

There are literally unlimited options to choose from when deciding what color you want the nightlight to be. As you can see in the photo below, you can simply tap anywhere in the rainbow circle for the color you want.

In the photo I am showing the brightness of the nightlight. The top photos are full brightness and the bottom photos are a little less than half of the brightness. These photos were taken during the day time, so in the night the lights will be even brighter!

The LectroFan Kinder is the perfect on-the-go sound machine. My parents live two hours away and we visit them often. I love that there are no cords attached to the Kinder; it will make packing so much easier! I can plug it in any outlet and there are no strings attached – literally!

This weekend we are going on a trip to some friends house, I 100% plan on bringing our LectroFan Kinder with us. It’ll be great because it will help the kiddos feel like they’re at home still, while also blocking out new, unrecognizable sounds.

Newborns, school aged children, and every age in between will have a better nights sleep when sleeping with a LectroFan Kinder.

Parents, seriously check out this sound machine. If you travel a lot with kids, this is the sound machine you want. I bet you’ll love it! The LectroFan Kinder can be used from newborn and beyond! The uses are endless; and the age range is too!

Top Signs Why You Need to Buy a New Mattress for Your Bed Room

The mattress is the central part of the bedroom as most of the time you’re in there you’re either lying on top of it or sitting on it. Regardless of the activity type, this surface takes a lot from you in its lifetime, which is OK since this is why it exists – to accommodate your needs.

But, as the time goes by, even the most durable of mattresses will start to give in. The process happens gradually but it happens, and there are signs to warn you before the mattress becomes unusable. My recommendation is to pay attention to these signs and start saving early as a new mattress is a pretty serious commitment, both financially and personally. These signs would generally mean that it is close to or is time for you to invest in a new mattress from somewhere like Simba. It is definitely an essential that everyone needs in order to provide them with a good night’s sleep. Plus, there’s not better feeling than sleeping on a brand new mattress. What I did when I knew I had to replace my old one was look into mattress reviews and watch tutorials, where I found this to be the best way I could get the opinion of others who have tried these products out. I feel like this is one of the best ways to finding your perfect mattress for you or your family.

From a financial point of view, a new mattress may get you to dig deep in the savings pocket. However, from a personal point of view, you may consider a new approach to get the best product that fits your comfort needs and sleeping position (for more on this topic, click here).

Still, I’m not here to talk about a new product, but the old one. Below I listed some of the most common signs that tell you the old mattress has to go.

The Surface Starts to Sag

Every mattress with a queen bed frame, will start to sag after a long time of constant using, but each material behaves differently. For instance, if you own an innerspring, you’ll notice a depression in the center of the mattress that gets deeper with time. With a memory foam mattress on the other hand, there is no visual clue. Still, if you start feeling like you are in a hammock every time you lie down, this is a very clear sign of sagginess.

There are Lumps

Sadly, this symptom can’t be ignored for too long because lumps will interfere with your sleep more than anything else. Usually, lumps start small and you don’t get to feel them very soon, but when they get big enough, you won’t be able to stop thinking about them.

You are Tired all the Time

Well this is absolutely normal when you have small children, but the little sleep you do get should be comfy and restful. So, if you tend to wake up more tired than when you went to bed, take a closer look at your mattress. If the back support is no longer effective the tension that gathers in your shoulders and spine during the day won’t be properly relieved during the night. This means back and neck pain that will keep you awake during the night.

Weird Sounds

Not all mattresses make sounds, but if yours is nosier than usual, consider a replacement in the nearest future. The ones that get louder with time are the products that feature a spring or coil structure, but these are not the only ones (some latex mattresses get noisy with time as well).

Overall, if a mattress is older than eight years old, it has run its course and must be replaced with a fresh, modern product. Many mattresses today are very well-equipped and come with amazing features that work wonders for your comfort and back support.

Sleep Zzz Pillow

My kids hate sleep. Maybe not really, but I feel like they do. I don’t understand why! I love to sleep and considering they’re my children, I thought they would too! However, I find it much easier to sleep when I have my front sleeper pillow so considering I have tried every technique in the book, like not letting them watch TV an hour before bedtime, tiring them out before bedtime, I’m going to try a technique that helps me sleep better. I even keep an eye out for bed bugs (known as punaise de lit) to make sure they don’t get bitten at night! They have never been those kids that sleep through the night….like ever. At ages 4 and 3 respectively, I have just given up on them sleep through the night or even in their own bed for one of them. Like clockwork, with their Seal plush in hand, they come knocking on my door in the middle of the night. This all changed when I took a leaf out of my own book and we tried out the Sleep Zzz Pillow.

When I first saw the Sleep Zzz Pillow I thought it was just another fun pillow like an Anime Dakimakura Pillow. A body pillow for kids. I had never seen one and thought it was a fun concept. Then my kids tried it out, and my kids fought over this pillow! They both LOVE how it feels to be snuggled up in it. For one of the only times in my sons life (he is almost 3) he slept through the night!!!! What a blessing! My husband and I attribute his better sleep completely on the Sleep Zzz Pillow.

The effects of this pillow, in my option, give the illusion of being next to another person; being snuggled in. My son thrives on touch. He needs to feel a person next to him when sleep for safety and comfort reasons. I desperately want him in his own bed. This pillow helps keep him in his bed longer than ever before. He still isn’t a perfect sleeper and ends up in my bed every night. But I have noticed that when he initially falls asleep he stays asleep longer than ever before. There is no other reason for this other than the use of the Sleep Zzz Pillow.

The Sleep Zzz Pillow comes in one size but have a bunch of fun covers that are completely washed like any other pillowcase.

  • Polka Dots
  • Birdies
  • Sports
  • Gray Chevron
  • Blue/Green Chevron

For an additional fee you can have your pillow embroidered!

This pillow is the best investment you can make for your sleep struggles. With so many covers to pick from, you can use it from you can keep it fun and whimsical. I love that its the perfect length for toddlers and children, so they don’t age out of the pillow in a year. It really can grow with your child and last years and years. You can also pass if from one child to the next….that is if you don’t end up buying one for each kid first!

ErgoPouch

In 2008 the founder of ergoPouch was in need of some major sleep due to her son who was a “challenged” sleeper. Her whole family was seeking a better nights sleep, so she went to work. Out of desperation she pulled out the sewing machine and created the first ergoPouch sleeping bag – and it worked! The pouch kept him warm and allowed for him to move around without getting tangled up. Now ergoPouch is a leading market company and award winning brand in Australia.

ergoPouch offers swaddles, sleeping bags, sleepSuites, and ergoArms; all dependent on the age/size of your baby and the temperature in baby’s room. [I will be reviewing the sleeping bag.] All of the ergoPouch products are made from natural fibers including organic cotton, bamboo and merino. No need to worry about bad fibers sitting on baby’s skin or having baby breath in anything bad while sleeping. The assurance you have in knowing that their products are safe and healthy is worth the investment.

…..

“Our mission is to give baby a safe and better night’s sleep, and in style!”

…..

The ergoPouch sleeping bag comes in two different sizes – 2-12 months and 12-36 months; they will last a long time! I think it’s great that there are just two size options because then you don’t need to buy as many. These sizes are for the sleeping bag only; there are other sizes involved in their other products.

There are many different options for warmth in terms of the sleeping bag. Their products are measured in togs which are a unit of thermal resistance used to measure the power of insulation of a fabric. The higher the tog, the warmer the piece of fabric. The warmest sleeping bag, and the one that we have, is a 3.5 tog – a warm pouch for winter. The next is a 2.5 tog pouch that is a bit lighter. 1.0 tog is the mild pouch that is more for fall or spring months. The pouch for the warmest weather is the cool pouch that is used in the summer. Below is a chart that is very helpful in knowing what pouch to put on baby in certain temperatures.

A thermometer is included with every purchased ergoPouch. This thermometer is really great. It shows the temperature of the room and which pouch should be put on baby accordingly – so useful! I hung it in my sons room so I know the temperature and which sleep sack he should wear.

The sleeping bag has unique stretch inserts on the the shoulder tops and on the side panels. This allows for natural movement so baby can sleep in comfort. I love how the sleeping bag has a double ended zipper. You can change baby’s diaper quickly and easily by unzipping the bag from the bottom. Keep them warm while you change them too! There are even button snaps that cover each zipper to protect baby and to keep them from possibly unzipping it themselves.

I love the print of our sleeping bag, it matches my sons room perfectly! There are many different prints and even solid color options too. ergoPouch offers gender neutral and gender specific colors. Their prints are very unique and not like most other sleep sacks.

ergoPouch is a trusted, award winning company that creates well made products. Their sleeping accessories are perfect for an child, big or small. They are MamatheFox approved and won’t disappoint.

Nested Bean Zen Review

nb_1000x1000p_300dpi

Touch is a very important aspect of a baby’s life; especially in the very early days. The soft gentle touch of a parent is sometimes the only thing that will get baby to stop crying. Some babies like the loving touch a parent gives a little too much. They won’t sleep unless they feel the pressure of a parents hand on their chest. Baby’s need soothing; that’s where Nested Bean comes in. Their zen sleep sacks and swaddles are the perfect solution to get baby to sleep without the palm of your hand.

img_9939

Nested Bean was created by a mom who spent many long nights holding her baby in order for him to sleep. Her son struggled to sleep without touch or pressure on his chest. Then she placed a soft beanie baby on the chest of her son and he slept independently. That’s when the Zen products started to form. The chest pressure was tested by researchers and psycho-phisiologists and found that no matter what causes the pressure our skin responds the same way. Even light pressure is used in hospitals for premature babies – the stimulated touch is soothing and eases sleep. Zen sacks and swaddles are safe, medically backed and super cute. Your baby will love to sleep in their Zen; you’ll love it too!

img_0041

Upon receiving the Zen swaddle and sack I was interested to know what the weighted chest pad was going to be like. I didn’t know how heavy it would be or what it would feel like. To be honest I thought it was going to feel like a bag of sand; not very comfortable to have on baby’s chest. Much to my surprise the weighted pad is very light weight and actually feels soothing just when I hold it. I’m also comforted to know that the Zen products are toxin free so I don’t have any worries when putting my son in them.

Zen Swaddle

img_0035

The shoulder snaps are a great aspect of the Zen sleep sack. I love that the snaps are adjustable, the sack will fit my baby for much longer. As he grows I can lower the snaps to a different position allowing for a larger fit. Babies grow very quickly so with this snap feature I have one less thing I have to buy a larger size of – yay for saving money! You can even use the sleep sack when baby starts rolling and sleeping on their tummy. Just put the sack on backwards and place them on their belly!

I really like the zipper on the sleep sack too. It is super easy to zip and just glides right along. The sack has a double zipper giving you the option to zip and unzip from the top/side or the bottom. I love this because I can keep my baby cozy if I need to change his diaper. I say top/side because this zipper is different than most sleep sack zippers. This one zips around the side and bottom of the sack, not right down the middle. The weighted pad is on the baby’s chest where the zipper would normally be.

screen-shot-2016-11-16-at-9-07-29-pmYou can see in the picture the zipper line goes down the right side, around the curve, across the bottom, and up the left side just a bit. On the left side where the zipper stops there is a fabric snap to cover the zipper up.

This particular sleep sack is one of Nested Bean’s premier sleep sacks. These are made from 70% bamboo and 30% cottonimg_0034 – seriously so soft. The material is also moisture wicking which is great during the summer. They also offer a classic swaddle and sack which is made of 100% cotton. The classic is great for year round comfort. For the winter months I recommend the winter sleep sack (not offered for swaddles). This sack is also 100% cotton but it is much thicker so baby stays ultra cozy. Each of these materials are quality made and will keep baby warm and well rested.

Their prints are absolutely adorable. With options for boys and girls you are sure to find one that you love. They even have gender neutral prints for those who don’t know what they’re having yet. The print in the photos above is Starry Safari – a cream, gender neutral print with giraffes on it.

Zen Swaddle

10_14-ig-baby

The Nested Bean Zen swaddle is an awesome product for a baby. Not only is there a weighted pad on the chest, but there are also weighted pads on either side of the swaddle so baby can feel completely wrapped and held while wearing it. The velcro to wrap and secure baby is on the back side of the swaddle which is different than most. This is great because you are able to get the swaddle tight around their arms – the one place that needs to be snug. You literally wrap baby up like a burrito!

I also really like how they created the swaddle to last even longer with the two-in-one design. Use the smaller pocket when baby is tiny and fresh, then start to use the larger pocket as they grow out of the small one. Such a genius idea! Below is an image showing how to swaddle – in step one you see the smaller pocket with the larger pocket “hanging” in step two you can see the larger pocket around the baby.

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-2-11-49-pm

Nested Bean also offers gift bundles. These are the perfect for a new mom or a pregnant-soon to be mom. Their ‘Find Your Zen’ gift set is great to give a mama who needs some relaxation. The set comes with a Zen swaddle or sack for baby, a scented pressure pillow and 4 ounces of shea-cocoa butter for mom. They have a ‘Welcome Home’ gift set as well that comes with an adorable wood and silicone teether, an artisan cap, and a Zen swaddle. Baby will be taken care of with this bundle! Give a great gift or buy one for yourself.

The Nested Bean Zen products really are awesome. Soft to the touch, easy to use, and so cute – you’ll love that your baby can find their Zen.

Who is Knock Nanny?

Knock Nanny is a Utah based business that started because they agree that we need to let sleeping babies sleep! Getting a child to finally fall asleep, only then to be woken by a pounding on your door or a loud DING DONG of the doorbell makes any parent cringe. You know we have practically all tried taping a piece of paper by the doorbell, but they always fall off or become unreadable from rain.

Knock Nanny knew they had to do something about this problem, and I cannot thank them enough!

What is The Knock Nanny?

They even offer options like ‘No Soliciting’ and ‘Do Not Disturb’ for those without children but who want to enjoy the silence.

Installation

There are several ways the Knock Nanny can be installed. There is the standard method or the non-standard method. If neither of these methods are able to work with your doorbell/house there is still a way! The adhesive strips which come with the Knock Nanny are pretty spectacular. They can be used on an ‘install anywhere’ situation. Simply place the strips on the back of the knock nanny where it points towards the house. The strips are wider then the edge of the Knock Nanny, this is not a problem. It will stick to any surface. These strips are a very high adhesive strength and  leave no residue left behind after removal. This allows for those special circumstance installments.

Mama’s Experience

When I received my Knock Nanny the first thing I wanted to do was look at the stickers! There are so many unique designs to choose from. I think it’s such a great idea to have such versatile options with their product. You can choose adorable sleeping baby stickers, a request to only knock, one asking to leave packages at the door, even ones that just say No Soliciting or Do Not Disturb.  This product is not just for parents with small children. Young adults trying to study for exams, average adults who don’t want to be disturbed or elderly people who may not feel up to walking to the door; all different types of people will benefit from having a Knock Nanny installed.

The Knock Nanny itself is made of a high quality material (the same stuff used in Lego’s) and it keeps both flexibility and form in extreme low and high temperatures. This is a super important feature. Living in Ohio we get well into the negative 20’s during the winter. Having this outside when those temperatures hit, I will have no worries about my Knock Nanny. The stickers are a super high quality, fade resistant and water resistant. Take that post it note signs!

Installation was a breeze! I couldn’t believe how simple it was to slide over the doorbell. I applied the double sided sticker to both sides of the doorbell. I slid the Knock Nanny onto the doorbell and pushed back. It felt super secure even though it was very smooth to install.

The message decals were easy to remove as well. Here I will show you two different decals. It peeled off clean and I was able to place the first decal back on the sheet.
